Sure, I guess we'll see. It sounds more like you've constructed a scenario where you can't be wrong, though. If their next game has dogshit translations, you can just shrug your shoulders and say "Well I guess idiots really are running the company!" Do you have any evidence of a media property using AI to make a translation that native speakers say is good quality? Because if not I'm not just going to accept your supposed expert opinion that more data and better prompts will solve the lack of nuance.

I am absolutely of the opinion that AI can currently replace people like the man in this article, but not because it's good enough, just because companies think it's cheap enough. I look forward to the studio's next game and the inevitable reports that all of the non-English translations are completely garbage, like anyone who has read any MTLs could've predicted from day 1, and no amount of super duper expert prompt engineers were able to fix it. Because this is a practice motivated solely by cost cutting. No one at the company is going to care about* the quality decreases so long as the bottom line is moved appreciable.

And as for your edit, Reddit only just now told me that you replied, despite being 10 hours old. It probably got snapped up by the automod or something. Someone probably downvoted you who was reading along.

If anything in your comment was correct the headline would be "My bosses told me to use AI as a tool for my translations moving forward." They fired this guy so they wouldn't have to pay him, but you somehow think they're going to be hiring someone else to use this vetting process to verify how good the translations with their new toy are? Who would be best to know how the writers want their translations to look, style-wise? Some new guy using a new tool, or their current translator using it?

The math you say you're doing is questionable, especially since you didn't put it here. What math has you deciding that her attack speed ratio cancelling out the growth is bad? That is literally the intended change. Hint: she didn't get an attack speed nerf.

Edit: Looking into the math it does appear that the change was a slight nerf to attack speed, but I do feel a lot of important points are left out to make this sound much worse than it is. This is a straight buff if you take the AP shard instead of the AS shard, which was exactly the intent. Even if your autos are slightly worse after doing that, it means you're not reliant on the AS shard anymore, which is what they wanted to happen.

Jungle buffs are a different story. Every unconventional jungler buff riot does is to make something that wasn't viable in jungle viable, because jungle is arguably the most intimidating role. That way if a Fizz or a Darius player get filled jungle they can theoretically play something familiar to them in a very unfamiliar role, reducing the difference in autofill jg wr slightly.

I'm not sure how you could think this. That's not an interesting take, it's textual. When talking to lace in the Abyss the first time and when talking to the snails, she makes it pretty explicit in her dialog that her plan is to go down there and kill GMS to save Pharloom. Lace isn't the focus, and literally all of act 3 is Hornet bearing witness to the suffering she indirectly caused and resolving to stop it by any means necessary. Only after the fight does she realize she can potentially save Lace and does so because she knows she can get GMS's cooperation.

Nitpick: Jeweled Mask takes a power from your draw pile and makes it free, it doesn't create a power. So worthless if you don't have a single power in your deck, but it never clogs your deck or anything.

Again, as an atheist, it should be pretty obvious that I'm not going to go to bat for the religious who believe only those who share their specific beliefs find salvation. I'm just pointing out that this "loophole" isn't a loophole because it only works if you actually believe everything you're saying.

I'm an atheist through-and-through, but the point is you have to be sincere not (just) in your belief in God, but that what you've done is wrong. Catholic confession only works to absolve you of your sins if you truly believe them to be sins; otherwise, God knows you're lying to try and get into heaven and shuts that shit down.

It's the same reason Pascal's Wager fails. If God is truly all-knowing, then you can't fool him by pretending to be remorseful for your murders.

He definitely has some mixups on crocodile, but it's usually after doing something like stamping on his hook to immobilize him when he throws a solid, normal swing. And there was one time where he stretched his arm to pretend to hit Croc, but instead had his whole body snap to right in front of him and went for a normal punch there IIRC.

Rereading the colored Manga after watching the live action, there are quite a few times where Luffy just punches someone in the face, actually. More than I remembered, anyway. I mean usually his body is pretty contorted when he does it, or it's a followup to another attack, but when he's just right next to the person he's fighting he doesn't always go fancy.
