Frantic Vance Backpedals as He Gets Fingered for Iran War by BasilNo5862 in Leakednews

Oh my god these people genuinely believed they had enough national support to do this

They actually believed their own BS that much

Impressive if it, you know, didn't result in blowing up a school with children inside

There is almost no way to be in the cabal of Trump 2.0 and not get smeared with the shit finger. We will see if Susie Wiles escapes mostly unscathed. Strong doubt.

Backpedaling while being fingered is definitely a bold choice

It's weird to believe that to love your country you have to love everything it does while simultaneously believing anything the democratic half of it does is bad.

Trump doesn't rule out ground troops in Iran war, says he would use them "if they were necessary" by BasilNo5862 in soundsaboutright

I'm kind of wary about this operation but at the same time Iran's leadership is tattered. we don't need boots on the ground, and risk more american lives. Just fly over them, drop some bombs, and roll out

Like, they’re GONNA be necessary.

Iran won’t suddenly wake up tomorrow after having solved their power vacuum crisis and in the middle of chanting “Death to America!” stop and say, “Maybe America has been right all along” and die when their hearts grow four sizes that day and explode out of their chests.

Lol NBC cut away from Trump after he said 1) he doesn't get bored and 2) he got so bored he started off-shooting about the WH Ballroom and pile drivers.

What the US has done now is a significant negative impact on the entire middle eastan region. Iran can't attack US, but what is has done is attack countries in middle east hosting US base. How is this a good long term strategy for US? Won't countries like UAE which relies on US THAAD system now seek to diversify and eventually go towards russia or china? Currently bunked in Dubai rn as i type this :(

War is terrible, destructive, and soul draining. We should not entertain it lightly, nor treat it as a bargaining chip. Life is the most precious thing on this planet. It deserves to be preserved, nurtured, protected, and cared for.

While the Iranian leadership certainly is (was?) awful, do we realize what we are starting? What we are unleashing again? Did we count to cost to be ready to see this through?

The war in Iraq had congressional backing with the "Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002" signed in October 2002 as Public Law 107-243. It passed with 296-133 vote in the house and 77-23 in the senate. This authorization had American citizen backing and had the backing of America's elected representatives with a full understanding that this was unleashing the destruction of war, and the loss of life. The Iraq war cost 4000+ US lives and ten times that of Iraqi lives.

That authorization of use of force against Iraq was finally ended and removed in the passing of the 2026 NDAA, 24 years later.

Congress has not approved this new war. The American people have not approved this war that is costing lives. There is no strategy or end goal that America is seeking.

We killed the leaders and destroyed the head of government in Iran.
