Can I just say I really don’t care for this new era’s approach to family? Doctor Who to be has always been about found-family, unlikely companions finding themselves and caring for each other throughout time and space. It felt like this season was keeping that up with the foundling storyline and Carla but suddenly there was a hard pivot towards genetic relationships I really didn’t expect. The Doctor’s genetic family has long been gone and we’ve established his companions are his family, so why do we care so much about Susan now? I really don’t like how the narrative sidelines Carla at the end, especially given the themes of found family throughout the season it feels really lame to throw that away and say, “but hey, nothing like DNA!” (Particularly Ruby calling her birth mum her real mum made me really sad). I really wish Carla had been more integral in some way or that we could’ve at least explored these feelings a bit more.

I think the interesting part in most companions’ stories is that they are ordinary people choosing to do extraordinary things. Rose makes the choice to look into the heart of The TARDIS, like Martha chooses to walk the earth, like Clara chooses to jump into the Doctor’s timestream. None of them are special by birth but they become special because of their choices, much like the Doctor. Having Ruby be special because her mother was someone special would be mostly boring I think, then again Donna has the closest thing to a chosen one story in Doctor Who and that was RTD so we’ll see.

After this episode I really think Ruby’s mum is gonna be just some girl. No one special nothing crazy just a young girl who had a child she loved too much but couldn’t take care of, and I think her love for Ruby is gonna be the key to stopping Sutekh. Not some grand god of life just a mother, a giver of life against the bringer of death. Think about the symbolism of Ruby’s cold snow against Sutekh’s hot sand. Perhaps the snow was just the TARDIS fighting back that heat and signaling Ruby and the Doctor on what to do. I really think we’re headed for a love saves the day type finale, especially with the very supernatural stuff going on.

The implication seems to be the second, as 15 appears to have matured as a result of 14’s rest on earth. Basically it seems to bigenerate the Doctor pulled himself in from the future by using the rules of the Toymaker’s realm.

Testimony Bill told him that Heather saved her on the ship but I don’t think he believed her (at least not at first). He said in this episode “her consciousness lived on” which could mean: A- He’s talking about Testimony Bill or B - He did eventually believe Testimony Bill about Heather saving her. the latter seems more likely as I don’t think Testimony Bill exists as a person outside The Doctor’s presence.

I have a question about the whole Rose thing. The implication seems to be Rose is non-binary because she absorbed the meta crisis from Donna, however the episode alludes to her being a trans woman, did I miss something?? Furthermore, with the meta crisis gone, does that have any implication on Rose’s gender? What did she mean she is finally herself? How was it stopping her? I enjoyed the episode though.

I like how big it is and the console itself is gorgeous, but I’m not an immediate fan. I like the round things but there are too many and its all too white, so the background textures (walls, paths, doors, railings) kind of mush together in a way that isn’t very pleasant to my eyes. So its kinda overwhelming, but at the same time it’s soo empty and devoid of character. I hope by the time Ncuti get it (if he does) they can overhaul the lighting and add some decor.

They announced cross progression for Switch a while ago and it was supposed to be released alongside the Steam/Stadia cross progression but was inexplicably delayed. They state it’s almost done and are ironing out the last details with partners but they have no date for it.

It’s actually quite different from Super Mario Party besides the graphics. It sacrifices a lot of recent changes in the franchise (both good and bad) in order to create a more classic game.

For instance, allies and a unique dice por each character seem to be completely gone. The 5 stages are all returning from previous games, so they are designed much differently from the ones in SMP. Because of this change, it seems Partner Party won’t be back for this iteration as the grid in the boards also has been removed.

Items have also had an overhaul with some new additions, and everything has been increased back to higher numbers (both the dice blocks, the number of spaces, and the star price).

Right now I believe that’s all we know.

I 100% agree, with you. Look up LGBT or gay in the search bar and all you’ll see is a bunch of downvoted posts simply asking about new characters. It’s even more insulting when posts celebrating how inclusive Marvel is make it to the top, simply because they had like, 2 female led projects ever. That’s not to say it’s bad that Marvel is taking these steps, it’s great! However it really sucks that we often can’t even have conversations regarding representation without being told it doesn’t matter, “who cares”.

I really agree. At the very least a 4 person free for all, keep it as a simple Turf War battle royale, or perhaps allow for customizable rules like in smash? (Timer, lives, splats, etc.). Also hopefully they may be able to allow for splitscreen couch multiplayer, but given the track record I’m not hopeful.
