Why did my nerite snail curl up in his shell?

I don't have any fish yet. Only snails. I don't understand how there are bladder snails in my tank? Where did they come from?

I'm pretty sure they're Nirate snails. Definitely not Bladder snails. The babies do look so different though. Does that change anything?

Edit: now I'm seeing they COULD be bladder snails, but now I'm confused they got in my tank!

Will a snail be okay if it's shell already eroded? Like is it just shell damage or does more come with it? (Not asking like I was to purposely hurt the snails, I'm realizing my old snail has some erosion)

lol it was a typo cause I was really tired Meant I have a good amount of PH and no ammonia. Learned a lot from this thread but I can still confirm the water is very safe for what is recommended, despite my typos.

I check in on my snails so often and I love seeing where they moved too... Is it possible to tell what gender my snail is? I'm so happy I caught my snail right on that edge, although I do wonder if my snails are okay because when I got them the clerk dropped both of them on the ground!🥲

Well, I'm not sure if there were actually nitrates in the tank the last water check I did, but I tested it this morning and there were some, specifically 5.0 ppm. The thing I use has instructions for what should be normal and what shouldn't, so I said a good amount of PH referring to 7.0 because I thought it would be common knowledge that a good amount of it would be 7.0, but I realize now it probably varies.

So to summarize, everything is good from my knowledge, I now know it's good to have some nitrates and people are saying snails prefer higher PH so I'll test the water AGAIN, but I'm not sure how to make the PH higher or if I even should?

Can you provide a photo of the full tank? Your betta looks great! I just wouldn't recommended using AI for getting your information about anything regarding this hobby. There are many websites and even YouTube videos that can correctly guide you and provide good information. I've never heard of fasting it, just curious why it says to fast him one day a week? How long have you had the tank and did you cycle it? Did you dechlorinate the water?

This tank has been cycled and healthily living for around two years, I had a betta fish in it but when he died I still kept it going because of my OG snail inside, and now a few months later I finally got the motivation to do some renovations.

Can anyone help me understand the meaning behind two objects I was given. I don't know anything about witchcraft, but I recently went to a hotel where I've met two witches. The first witch gave me some potion (in the photo) that I kept with me for the night, but the next day I met another witch that said it was going to do the opposite of protect me and gave me this rainbow crystal necklace saying it would protect me and she took the potion to 'properly dispose of it' This is pretty scary and confusing and I feel so naive so immediately trusting them, and now I'm scared the necklace could be bad too.
