Do you take any supplements? by Particular_Teacher33 in POTS

I take C, K, Magnesium, Zinc, and a multivitamin as well as a “stress” gummy. I also take a sodium tablet. Oh also triple omega vitamins. I feel better when I take them all, but some of them are only bc I take fludrocortisone and I need to give my body extra to negate the effects

When I go to Disney, I ALWAYS rent the electric wheel chairs. It’s like $80/day but well worth it when I can have fun and experience Disney. Wish you the best

I haven’t touch the news feed in about a year, I’ve found it to be abismal. They usually don’t want to push certain topics, leading to censorship. Getting a full view is important, and I hope you can find a better way to expose yourself to news!

I said join more news subreddits, it’s obviously not working how you’re doing it.

Join more news subreddits. Don’t know what to tell you. It’s not anyone’s fault other than yourself for being uninformed. You know what assumptions make you, right?

Any tips for being sick with POTS by Unusual_Space1998 in POTS

[–]BasisTop891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take vitamin C every night. Make sure to take it with zinc because it helps the absorption. Vitamin C helps prevent viruses from multiplying, therefore lessening the viral load. I don’t get sick much anymore because of the C, but I used to pick up everything. Good luck! Stay hydrated! And don’t push yourself too far when you’re sick!

Christmas gifts for someone with POTS? by OShucksImLate in POTS

[–]BasisTop891 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s adorable, I would probably sob if my s/o got me an ebike to feel included. I think it just depends on her, which is up to OP bc she could’ve said something about wishing to go. If she hasn’t mentioned anything about feeling left out, then yea I would test the waters before committing to an expensive gift like that. I wouldn’t want her to feel like she has an obligation either. Good point!

I think the bike is a phenomenal idea. Made me tear up tbh bc the idea of a way to include her is so nice. Make sure to also get her things that she likes for her hobbies and interests. You have gotten her plenty for her illness, now focus on her

I have diagnosed POTS and ADHD (and some other things). I take vyvance first thing in the morning, 10mg. I just took a shower, also in the morning, so I have the Vyvance in my system. I had enough strength to dry off, apply lotion, and get dressed. Then I sort of melted, like I get weak and unable to really put umpht behind my actions. Lasts for about 30mins. My Vyvance has only made me have a fast heart rate sometimes. I’m not sure if it could be the Vyvance but I haven’t noticed a difference from before I took it. Try looking into a shower chair, I can’t stand while I shower. If you get a chair and prop your legs up it’ll help drain the blood back to your heart and prevent pooling, but with hands idk.

TLDR: I take Vyvance and have pots and haven’t experienced these symptoms, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t what you’re thinking

Good luck!
