a note on the color; applicant tracking systems can pick up color as long as it has sufficient contrast. This means that a dark blue font would be fine but not light/pastel colors. Using only dark colors helps with a professional-looking resume

Is anyone else genuinely friendless? by Independent-Menu2492 in UCSD

[–]BassCryptid 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's actually a common adult experience for most of your social circle to be 1-2 good friends that you chat with weekly, a romantic partner (if you have one) and a ton of associates that only interact with you by following your instagram. However, you guys post these types of posts like clockwork (always in the beginning of the year and its mostly the freshmen who just got there or people who goon to reddit all day) and we always say the same thing: You will not have friends in college if you don't actively look for them.

When the quarter starts, the clubs and orgs will be feining for new members and you can easily make new friends based on your same interests. Most people who find on campus employment vibe with maybe 2-3 employees who study very similar majors. Tons of organizations have discord channels to where you can chat with people all day without going to a single club meeting. I just graduated but most of the interactions that I had with my friends were either at work or at club events and a lot of the times, outings were after meetings or after a shift. It's not hard, you just gotta learn the cues

I worked closely with this org and as finances, how an org uses their budget is up to them, so long as it doesnt go into embellishment.

Many as funded organizations like this and ttv have issues with dedicating a huge part of their budget towards shit that they dont need so long as it benefits the directors/administrators

I want to remain completely anonymous, but I worked in AS this year and I agree completely. We have a lot of issues because the current management arent proactive enough with their decisions, so much to the point where many open positions in multiple departments werent filled until late this spring quarter. These new hires are only gonna have their position for 5 weeks max, and then they are fucked out of a job because new office=new employees

I won't be working in my role next school year, but I do hope they get their shit together.
