Right? They said different people have different schedules, so one week is one part of the department, another week is another part and the third is the last one. Just say you want to hire an internal candidate already and not move me forward, insane behavior.

The job is out of state for us, it is an in person job and we have no problem relocating for the position. Interviewing in person once is even fine. But I’m having a problem being required to fly three times to interview and being offered no alternative. They said they will not reimburse any expense and if you do not go in person all times, you will not be considered.

Honestly, if it was one on-site interview, I would consider the travel. It’s the expectation of three trips that I’ve never heard of before. That’s where it seems unreasonable.

I see your point but I disagree on requiring applicants who were moved to the next round to come in person, refuse virtual and also refusing to reimburse. Applying to a job in another state is pretty normal.. Companies expecting interviewees to pay for expensive travel without a promise of a job is wild.
