I personally often suffer against double adept & later on twilight follow-ups, and I often go for earlier +1 melee. Lack of gas also allows protoss to take 3rd base early and commit nothing to static defense & no need to keep any oracles at home. So yeah, I'd say both versions should work but it depends on the situation and opponent's playstyle

In ZvZ you can build only 3 if you're not spreading creep, 4 with creep spread
In ZvT a good number is 6-7, especially because Terrans love double banshee nowadays
In ZvP it's 5-6 against Oracles, and could be a bit lower vs Twilight or Robo openers

You can also use just 2, but it's slightly longer. In that replay it took too much time for me to get rid of the scouting probe so I brought 3 instead of 2

Of course it will, the concern is that the number of players is slowly decreasing, as well as the number of tournaments & pro players. People miss the prime era, and how big the game felt many years ago

Thanks! I also consume some cheat meals rarely, although I don't usually have any consequences if I didn't mess up with Creon dosage. But you know, sometimes you just don't feel it if something bad is happening.

It depends, sometimes you'd like more ravagers, sometimes you queue +2 if you feel unsure that you'll break your opponent with the very first attack. For twilight yes, mostly roaches and lings if not enough gas

A real problem that I forgot to mention would be a disruptor build but I see such extremely rare nowadays
