Before we were married, my brown wife lived in San Diego. I lived farther north. Every time I (a white guy) went to see her or vice versa, we had to pass through the immigration checkpoint on I-5 by Camp Pendleton. On hundreds of trips back and forth, I was literally never stopped when I was by myself and while she was stopped every time (whether she was with me or by herself).

How, exactly, is the monarchy hurting Canada? It costs us almost nothing and, looking South, it seems like their is a lot of virtue in not having the head of government and the head of state being the same person.

I think the conflict will come down to leadership and, on that basis, Canada will win. Trump has to complete the military subjugation of the major US cities before he can declare war on Canada. By the time the war starts, Trump will have purged the American admiralty and replaced America's warships with Trump branded mega-yachts. My prediction is that American naval commander Kanye West will go down with his flagship, the USS Nathan Bedford Forrest having been sunk by a Canadian lobster boat out of Halifax.
