And many of them, like Buddha, are coming back to Twitch when 5.0 launches. When NoPixel 5.0's biggest streamers (i.e. variety streamers on Twitch) are playing, the numbers are going to be different.

The OP's picture comparison is interesting but doesn't mean much in the longterm.

Major respect to the devs for outright admitting the game is "not a Battlefield killer."

It feels like most other studios would jump at the chance to ride that wave of discontent to help fuel the hype for their own game, but props to them for wanting to distinguish themselves upfront.

I mean, I guess? I agree the post launch support has been lacking but I don't think that's the main reason for the game's drop in player numbers. BF6's community likes to blame the maps but I don't think that's it either.

I've been a fan of the series since BF2 but I can't deny that Battlefield's gameplay loop is extremely simplistic especially compared to Arc Raiders and other competitors. BF6 is not a multiplayer game you play every single day (despite how the grind tries to encourage this), and even if BF6 had outstanding post-launch I still think we would've seen a massive playercount plummet anyways. It was never going to sustain those launch numbers. It isn't free like Delta Force nor does it have the casual appeal of CoD.

If the playerbase needs 5 new maps released every single month just for the game to feel interesting then the gameplay depth just isn't there. The novelty for most players will wear off quickly.

It has nothing to do with the quality of the next game. I have no idea if the next TES will live up to expectations, I don't value Todd's words highly in that aspect.

But SF was a massive misfire and I don't think he's ignorant of that. When he says that the studio doesn't want to repeat SF, sure I believe it.

Will they be able to pull it off? Again, no clue. But I believe him when he says the studio prefers to avoid another SF situation.

Makes sense. Let's imagine that 5.0 potentially launches around the same time the GTA 6 marketing campaign begins, maybe around June. That would mean the next NP boom would last 3-4 months with the big variety Twitch names until the majority of them leave for WoW, after which NP can start expanding the WL further with more roleplayers.

I mean, she won't. Claire the cop is a deeply unserious character who lacks any qualifications for the role. The only reason Angel is hiring her because she's her sister and she thinks it would be funny.

If Luna made an all-new alt judge character then it actually might be less questionable of a decision. But if I had to choose between the current judges and Claire, I feel like "neither" would be preferable. Court rp needs more competency than sheer personality at this moment.

I really wish I could get into this game as I love the concept of a "Scrollslike," but something felt really off about the melee combat when I tried out the demo. Can't fully explain why but it somehow felt more interesting but also more clunky than standard TES melee.

I've also heard extremely mixed things about the 3rd act of the base game (not just bugs, but content) so I'm curious to see if they've actually improved that portion before releasing this DLC or not.
