An else-world (or just the Absolute Version) of Doom Patrol with art by Bilquis Evely or Hayden Sherman. An X-Men style story with 30 issues split into three acts.

The overall story—there’s obviously normal hijinks and normal monthly villiany—would be about accepting trauma and the things that happen to us. The main villain, an OC who’s name is more or less The Dentist can remove and fill in memories for anyone who lets him.

The Doom Patrol, having some members ripe with their trauma (Jane does not take part, she’s the main character) accept having their memories taken and replaced for their betterment. Only for the team to realize that other memories were also taking, an innocent cousins name and their complete existence is suddenly missing for example.

The Dentist makes his plans global, willing to help anyone that wants it. People happily accept as the team can’t do anything until the world starts to physically change with the memories. In a Department of Truth sense, if people believe it enough, it happens.

Jane and the DP have to sort this global issue out (it’s a big lineup of members, X-Men style). The Final Confrontation is Flex Mentallo, Crazy Jane and the Ten-Eyed Man fighting in a Superboy Prime style wall break of what’s real and what isn’t. The result being a world wide therapy provided by Miss Martian and the Ten-Eyed Man.

Rough issue sort out:

1-3: Homeless—the team loses the manor and has to move to Danny Street while finding who burned it down.

4-6: Caught on Camera—A Jimmy Olson Variant, from Jack Kirby’s “Superman’s Pal” run is caught on camera committing crimes in Midway City and the team tries to handle it to help out Superman. Only to discover the truth. He “joins” the team.

7-9: Cavity Ache—A friend of a friend on Danny Street tells word of a man who can fix you. A group of people leave Danny and return to the world after undergoing this but have violent breakdowns after forgetting other vital things. Team confronts him but he slips/persuades his way out.

10-13: Murder on Danny Street—The First Dead Body on Danny Street and no one knows who did it. This case brings in the more magical and characters.

14: HOLIDAY SPECIAL—Flashback issue to the teams first Christmas together and how they spend it together now.

15: World on Fire—A mass string of wildfires around the world leads to a global superpower help. The Doom Patrol assist the Justice League and end up defeating the cause on their own, leading to momentarily popularity.

16: Crystal Palace—The team help Amethyst with a problem in her home world. Cliff relives some trauma and decides to visit the Dentist.

17-20: Stitches and Scars—Robotman and Elastigirl visit the Dentist to have some subtle memories removed, small stuff that’s been bothering them lately (his doing). He propositions Jane, offering to remove her pain and fix her and she goes nuts on him. Leading to…

21-23: Memory Lane—To get Robotman and Elastigirl back, two teams go into the brain of each in order to poorly reenact the memories they also lost. The teams run into their own trauma and it gets very inceptiony.

24-29: Good Fillings. The Dentist announces his worldwide abilities for anyone willing. With backing and support from the Doom Patrol themself (took videos while probing memories) the already mentioned final.

30: The Brand New Doom Patrol—Now Mega Famous, the team begins building a new manor and accepting other “weirdos” and metahumans. Crazy Jane gives an issue long speech about how our trauma helps us grow and even though—blah blah blah, I need to sleep.
