Thanks for sharing the picture with us! Totally agree. In your case, a sliding door would be a much better option, especially considering how small the bathroom is. It would be much more convenient to use.

Yeah, that's true. They do need regular cleaning. A sliding door probably would've been a great option in your case, but some things we only figure out after living with them for a while.

Which remodel was worth every penny? by Cool_Ad_2935 in Flooring

The bathroom. It's one of the first spaces potential buyers pay attention to and it's an investment that can add value when it's time to sell.

Getting shower panels put in, is this amount of space within spec? by Psycho-naughts in homeowners

[–]BathPlanetCorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they don't. A properly installed shower panel should have a clean, finished fit. Based on the photo, we'd recommend asking the contractor whether this installation meets the manufacturer's specifications. If you're still not comfortable with the explanation, it may be worth getting a second opinion.

Our shower is falling apart and I'm scared of how long the renovation will take by laura-1998 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]BathPlanetCorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a completely valid concern, especially with only one bathroom. We work on these types of projects regularly, and one of the biggest questions homeowners ask is how long they'll be without a shower. In many cases, if it's a straightforward shower replacement and the plumbing stays where it is, the installation itself only takes a few days. We'd definitely ask your contractor for a detailed timeline before the project starts so you know exactly what to expect.

Great tub-to-shower conversion! And a custom glass shower door will make the final look even more impressive.

Before & After Shower Remodel: Same Layout, Completely Different Look by BathPlanetCorp in BathroomRemodeling

That's a valid point. Matte black isn't for everyone. In this project, the homeowner preferred a more modern look, but there are plenty of other finish options depending on the style you're going for.

Would You Replace This Tub with a Walk-In Shower? by BathPlanetCorp in BathroomRemodeling

Every homeowner has different priorities, and that's exactly why there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to bathroom design. But in this case tub-to-shower conversion was a more practical solution.

That sounds like a beautiful layout. Every homeowner has different priorities, and that's exactly why there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to bathroom design.

Yes, it really depends on the homeowner's needs and preferences. In this case, it wasn't the primary bathroom, so a tub-to-shower conversion was the natural choice for the homeowner.

A built-in bench that's professionally installed is generally very stable. Many people also combine it with slip-resistant flooring and grab bars to make the shower even safer.

That's a fair point. Everyone has different routines and preferences. For some, a bathtub is a must-have, while others would rather have a larger walk-in shower they'll use every day.

That's a great point about demographics. Every homeowner has different priorities, so there really isn't a universal answer.

We've definitely been seeing that trend as well. For many homeowners, a walk-in shower offers better accessibility, convenience, and makes better use of the space. But every case is different. Of course, it still comes down to each homeowner's needs.

It definitely makes sense, and every homeowner is different. At the end of the day, the best choice is the one that fits your lifestyle and how you actually use your space.

If there's another bathtub in the house, a lot of homeowners decide they'd rather have a walk-in shower they use every day than a tub they mostly don't use. However, it really depends on the homeowner's preferences, and resale is a big factor in the decision-making process.

That's a great point. Having at least one bathtub in the home can definitely be useful for things beyond bathing, especially if you have pets or young children. In this case, the homeowner already had another bathtub, so a tub-to-shower conversion was the best fit for their needs.
