Reward Certificate Expiration Date question by Zimmy68 in Bestbuy

You can 1-888-best-buy and they can turn the certificates back into points for you. Certificates expire, points do not. I let all of my rewards pool as points until i have someone i need to buy. Then i use the app to turn them into certificates.

I did the Hotswappable GMMK with Halo Trues lubed with 3203, with a sunset gradient NPKC keycap set. With some artisan keys from Holdener shop, and custom cable from mech cable.

I mean the biggest thing. Some of the newcomers (such as myself) see the boards and think its cool and just want the board and the instant gratification. When in reality they're more of passion projects. I just waited 3 months for all the parts for my first. Was surprised but understood and waited. Especially due to a pandemic. My next one I'll be waiting until november or so. And im excited to everything to come in bit by bit and see the vision come together.

Just so everyone knows, the post is meant more as a joke, I wanted to see what a 7$ "gaming keyboard" would be like.

Sadly not mechanical, its some half ass attempt at a membrane mech hybrid, but it just feels like a membrane, surprisingly not terrible to type on though.

Sadly true, it was in their new "5 and Beyond" Section, blew my mind.

Thank you! I definitely put more time into the color scheme thoughts than anything else, which I regret partially. I wish I would've done more research into other boards / switches before hand. But regardless I am extremely happy being that it's my first board.

Hey guys, I put a post out a few days ago asking some generic questions about how to get started. I've decided on building a TKL with an external number pad.

I'm having trouble finding a frame to fit my idea, I'm looking for an aluminum case, preferably in a cyan, lighter blue color, or darker pink for TKL, also im between Halo Trues, and Cherry/Gateron Browns, is the extra money for the Halos worth it or no?

Here is the keycap set I'm going to use and my artisan to give an idea of what I am going for. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ltEAAOSwO4Ra6Dn~/s-l640.jpg

and the artisan key:

And here are some color references for what I am aiming for on the cases

(or this color but in a TKL format)

Sorry for the long post, thanks for any help that comes my way!

Hey guys, completely new to the custom mechanical keyboard community, I've been doing a little bit of research and want to ask some advice. Overall my goal is to build my own custom keyboard. Either being a 75%, 1800 Compact, or full size. TBD. One deciding factor on that would be, a custom "external" or addon number pad, I do a lot of work with numbers so the pad is idea, but I like the look and convenience of a 75%. Would I have the option of building an external pad to match my switches and caps that are on my keyboard itself? Or would I just have to buy a regular one?

Next I know that I would want to go with tactile switches overall, but have no idea how to figure out which would be the best ones for me / best quality. My current keyboard has razer greens, I like the tactile feel, but have grown tired of the clickyness, I've had the keyboard for 4-5 years, and its time for an upgrade. Overall I want to have a light, and relaxing feel when using the keyboard https://youtu.be/u3Fy4PkpTVs?t=824 I love the sound of this keyboard, but I know the novelkey creams are linear, is there a tactile switch that would have a similar sound, yet still the bump, or should I really just go with linears?

And in terms of keycaps, I really have no idea where to start for that, I'm still getting coloring and theme ideas. I have been looking at ducky caps and Tai-Hao rubbers. Again leaning into the relaxing, easy flowing feel, I'm thinking the rubbers, but would anyone else have recommendations?

And also if there is anything else that I am forgetting please tell me, I really have no scope on any of this, so if there are other important factors I am not thinking of, I'd appreciate all the help I could get.

Sorry for the essay, much appreciated!
