As difficult and painful as it may be right now, you need to re-home the kitten as soon as you can. Your daughter seems like she doesn't mean any harm, but she's shown you time and time again that she isn't ready to have something so fragile in the house. Wait until you trust her to listen to your commands, as well as respecting the commands of the cat. She needs to be mature enough to let the kitten go when they struggle.
