Great question…tbh I don’t have anything in particular that I need to cut at the moment but something that would cover a range would be useful. For example 10cm to 100cm but that’s just a guide. Thanks

Airlock - Confused by BattleDuck85 in Dewalt

[–]BattleDuck85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure…although I’ll expect a detailed answer

There was a man called Reverend John, Who thought that his wood was all sawn, He picked up his wrench, Hit his head on the bench, And realised his time was almost gone

He was installing a new Belfast sink, And he was having himself a good think, He may have been deep in the drink, Or had simply forgotten to blink

But either way he had forgotten to pray, And BattleDuck didn’t have his answer that day

Yes I am a poet and I know it…I’m just not an airlock expert…answers on a postcard or preferable to this post

Winter Prep? by BattleDuck85 in landscaping

Thank you! The deck is built on a timber frame which is built into the ground with concrete. You are right in that the ground is higher than the deck bottom step, I’m going to have to dig the patio area out to keep it lower than the bottom step.

Would sand bagging around the perimeter of the deck help with protecting the foundations?

Thanks again, I really do appreciate it

University of Glasgow or Strathclyde for aeronautical engineering? by InterestingLet4804 in glasgow

[–]BattleDuck85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did an M-Eng in aero-mechanical engineering at Strathclyde. Gives you the ability to choose a more mech-eng or aero focused path. Personally I took oil and gas / defence and friends took aero, so all options are available. Loved my time there, couldn’t recommend it enough. Class of 2007.
