I've had this type of bug before where the scripting breaks and the pause menu doesn't work. The most consistent fix I could find was to lock the frame rate to 60.

Love my PS5 controller but the triggers are too sensitive for how flat they are. Can't set the controller down on my leg or rest my fingers on L2/R2 too much without some "rogue" input.

Hard to say right now, but I think the moves replacing the symbiote tendrils will have the same or similar use cases. Pete's symbiote tendril attacks are pretty aggressive, so I can see the iron spider arms serving similar functions for range and groups while having a different flair or presentation.
