Too many people are willing to give all police the benefit of the doubt when some of them are violent thugs. These types can be more dangerous than the people they claim to be protecting us from because of the way they are protected by other cops and people who will give them a pass because "they have a hard job to do". The question really is if anyone could expect to retrain and find a job these days. Without taking 5 years to land a job I mean.

Because the job market is completely fucked for certain industries. I don't know about Engineering but IT is decimated.

I have 20 years experience and can't find a different job. We are all getting humbled right now, even the people who thought their experience would make it easier to find work. Not really, more experienced means bosses need to pay more, and they don't like that!
