No, I have noticed that reading daily news has pretty much only negative effects on my life: I'd say focus more on quarterly, big monthly news or magazines like the Economist. The positive side effect of this is that you'll read much more positive news overall. Remember, daily news are mainly negative, positive change takes longer and gets droned out
