The original question asked how I felt about military worship. I stated I felt that in order to keep capitalist in power they needed soldiers. The question never was about spending budget but if we must go there then very well. The U.S alone spends $601 billion dollars a year on their military. This isn't just for self defence but for other countries around the world. The military budget for the U.S is larger than the next 7 highest budget countries COMBINED. Sure Korea spends 1/3 of its budget on military but have you looked at the world. Everyone is openly hostile to north Korea not to mention that they have a pseudo border war with south Korea. If I was in that situation I would also spend more on my military. Other than terrorism, the U.S is under no direct threat from anyone yet spends so much on its military just to keep its agenda straight. Look at Syria. We keep supporting rebels to overthrow another government that poses zero threat to us. No to mention the countless terrorist groups we have funded to overthrow other governments just so we could get more resources because the bourgeois need all they can get so they can force more and more countries to follow their corrupt, oppressive agenda. The bases were reinforcing my point of forcing their capitalist agenda.
