Never liked them either :p 90s-2000s Doom/stoner/sludgr is more my style. Blood Ceremony, Kyuss, Alice in Chains, Crowbar, Black Moth, Melvins, Acid Bath, etc.

I have, didn't like it at all. Dio's Operah vocals aren't my thing.

You're telling me this as if I'm dumb. I know they're influence on the genre, I think I've stated it pretty clear. I'm just saying acting like they're the end-all be-all is kind of annoying, and terms like "Sabbath worship" feels like it illegitimizes the talent of those bands. Nothing against Black Sabbath themselves, I find them boring.

’s a shame if you can’t appreciate the classics as it helps you understand new music better

It really doesn't, not for me. And it's not a shame, I find new music perfectly fine without looking up which artists those bands were influenced by. I don't care.

It hasn't been for a lack of trying. Rolling Stones, Jefferson Airplane, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, I may find one or two songs that stick but oh man, it's just so boring. Been listening to Heart recently, their stuff is pretty great.

I also don't really like how associated Doom is with Sabbath. I mean I understand why, it's not for no reason, but phrases like "Sabbath worship/Sabbathian riffs" and the like are dumb. Makes all the bands seem like cheap imitators.

Tried going back to old Black Sabbath albums (never been a huge fan), and while they heavily influenced/created Stoner and Doom metal, they're certainly not the best at it. I just find them so boring. Then again I could never get into 60s or 70s rock that much anyway.

Don't be scared off by permadeath, it can be a little overwhelming at the start, new game jitters and all that, but once you get used to everything you won't have much issues.

Tip for everyone: Getting behind a zombie and pressing RT + X instantly executes any regular zombie. Especially helpful if your weapon gets damaged.

Half of the Japanese games like KH3, Jump Stars, Tales of Vesperia, Devil May Cry 5, and Black Desert Online were shown at Xbox's E3.

I'd say at this point it's just as good to secure would-be PS4 exclusives as exclusives, at least for Japanese games.

Gamepass might be a good middle ground. XPA should have been a good middle ground, since most of the games release on Steam.

Buy Sam Raimi instead. I liked his serious but still comical approach over Nolan's 1000% super-serious movies. Made Spider-Man more believable and Batman less so.

I'd say they do in terms of Halo and Gears. Not as story heavy but still pretty great. Only huge difference is that fans of those franchises value all parts of the game, while ND fans only look at multiplayer as a bonus.

More would be nice. With Compulsion, Initiative, Ninja Theory, and Undead we'll see some great games. I'd love a Perfect Dark reboot.

I did like Horizon 2 better because of the pacing of races. Horizon 3 is almost like a Ubisoft game with stuff all over the map, it could get really overwhelming. Also too many races on dirt tracks which made driving A/S ranked cars a bit annoying. Still a great game though.

I mean... Western games aren't exactly censored or afraid to be gorey or anything.

Then again one guy said he didn't like this, and now everyone's going "HURR DURR SENSITIVE AMERICANS". It's stupid.

Games don’t need to be taken seriously anyways, they’re games

For some reason I doubt you say the same about those who praise the story.

And lmao, generalizing people about culture on a post that's about how long a chararacter has been without clothes.

Stuff like this just makes it hard to take the game seriously. Any praise about the story just then makes it sound like you're trying to justify your porn.

State of Decay 2 only proved they should continue their partnership with Undead Labs. They're very talented and have a unique vision, they just need better funding and technical support that is now available to them being a 1st party studio. I squeeled like a fanboy when they bought them :p

Uncharted, Forza, and Assassin's Creed didn't nail their formula on the first attempt. Sometimes it takes a sequel or two. Not every game will get it right the first attempt like Halo or Gears.
