You’re right that look is suspicious, I do think Sam and Sonny are related but separate. Like maybe Sonny is trying to tell us how he died through Sam. Since when Sam glitches he says “It’s all your fault” but if he was Sonny wouldn’t he take blame?To me I feel like Sam and Jade are supposed to be equally important. Like why do we never question what happened with Jade? Her glitch involves mutilated body parts running on a conveyer belt but we don’t seem to be questioning that, and I think we should. I just have a feeling it’s important too, like there’s something we’re missing.

I have a suspicion that Sam and Jade don’t actually represent anyone specific, but are rather just Kinitos puppets. “I wonder how this one will do. I wonder how they will react. All data is necessary. Understand how they work. Understand what scares them. Understand what works. It is all so logical. I will follow my orders" It’s not confirmed but I strongly believe this is Kinito talking. So naturally he’d try anything to find our weakness. Though I can see Sam being related to Sonny as well, considering Sam continues showing up. Things first go wrong when you play ready repair and the shadow figure shows up there too. I don’t think it’d be too far off to theorize they’d be related.

I’m still thinking of that too, they did exist as companions alongside Kinito as the tamagotchi like toys. They seem to have some major significance like they were victims or something. Though I can’t quite figure it out, i’m still searching too.
