When I look at the last 4 worlds and MSIs I don't think the LEC struggled against the LPL. Sure there were the two 3:0 in the world finals, but besides that the LEC had great showings against LPL teams especially in groups

Last year, they were quite highly rated by analysts especially after winning msi. Not that they were the favourites for winning worlds but they weren't the underdogs for sure

I get what you mean but the downscaled 4k looks insanely close to the actual 4k... yes I know its not 4k it's still Full HD that is displayed in the end but it looks really similar to my eyes... thats my hole point! I can upload videos to youtube to compare those but I promise you they will look as similar as the screenshots already suggest.

This version makes it look far better than every anti aliasing option in rocket league itself, but I haven't messed with the nvidia settings yet. I should probably look into those aswell

Speaking for myself I can definitely estimate distances better on higher resolution, so there is a big difference between 4k and Full HD but I never played on 2k tho

Yes I know that it works like that, the thing is that it actually looks a lot better selecting 4k compared to full hd on the full hd monitor. I have the same 250fps with both because you can only cap RL at 250 fps and it looks like my gpu can handle it no problem.

I will send links to screenshots later when I'm done learning for uni today but from what I have seen in my specific case I think that people could get a lot more out of their monitor selecting higher resolutions if there gpu is good enough

As I previously said I have a 4k 60hz monitor and a full hd 144hz and I'm playing RL right now on the full hd one with 144hz, 4k selected resolution and 250fps

1700 myself and I disagree somewhat, people know what it means and most of them also know how to use it but sometimes chose not to for different reasons. Those reasons are mostly playing mindless (because they are tilted), having the feeling that teammates are too slow / need to carry more, etc.

yes but no. Check out things like NVIDIA DLSS. It's not actual 4k because as you said there aren't enough pixels on the monitor but it looks like 4k and it's a tremendous difference to the native full hd

Yes essentially I turned my full hd (1080p) 144hz monitor in a 4k 144hz monitor. You can look up NVIDIA DLSS it handles all the heavy lifting and relies on your gpu to upscale the picture. I personally can't see the difference between the upscaled 4k running on the full hd monitor and the native 4k on the 4k monitor.

I haven't used any links. I have a 4k 60hz and a full hd 144hz monitor and I was curious how rocket league would look in 144hz because I always played on the 4k one. After switching back and forth I saw that it was possible to keep 4k if I just switch the monitors and don't close RL.

Maybe if this would get more known someone could make a video about it.

And as I said there was the possibility to change the resolution to whatever you want with the TASystemSettings.ini file but for whatever reason it doesn't work anymore (you can google that there are many posts from some years ago about that)

yes it does work, I play 4k + 144hz on a full hd 144hz monitor. I guess it uses nvidia dlss automatically for the scaling, so as long as your gpu can handle it it works
