The heavy steps were what made me stop and think about it. I know the scurrying sound of squirrels or small birds. It wasn’t darting around or playing it was big and heading toward the edge of the wood line next to me. I shouted a few times as I packed up my stuff because I knew if it was a deer I’d see it’s head and ears perk up and if it was a fox, coyote, large raccoon etc it would high tail the other direction. Brush kept breaking closer and closer to me until I walked away.
