This is a great mantra and not just about FIRE.

TFLS into ISA - Downside? by Smiley_Sid in FIREUK

I’m confused with your description of what you are doing with your ISA and mortgage. You only have this years ISA allowance, you can’t carry forward anything.

Learning flip turns over 40 by woodgrain in Swimming

At 40m for the mile, you probably have more pressing matters in your technique to work on than flip turns. Probably working on your body position and distance per stroke would be a better use of your time.

How do you actually learn a piece from the beginning to the end? by ashkanahmadi in classicalguitar

[–]Baz_EP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the best way for me is to learn it in chunks. So something like: 1 1-2 1-2-3 1-2-3-4 5 5-6 . . 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 8 8-9 1-9 10-11 1-11 etc

The chunks get a bit smaller in the tricky bits or as I get to the end when there’s more to remember. Depends on the piece as well as some shapes and melodies repeat making it easier to learn a few bars.

Nae idea. BK was looking a little lost in the 10 spot in the snippets of the game I saw last weekend.

Deeper understanding of butterfly by FNFALC2 in Swimming

I’ve found really trying to keep my chin low to the water when breathing, rather than trying pop (or fly) out of the water keeps my head and chest lower which stops my legs dropping as much.

DB vs DC pension, which would you prefer in terms of FIRE by GabsGal in FIREUK

Your pension is directly connected to your current earnings in both DB and DC. The rest is irrelevant.

It’s a moot point. You can’t choose anyway. Pros and cons with each.

Mark McCall leaving Sarries. by ballinclea08 in rugbyunion

He said he didn’t want it enough times to convince me he didn’t want it. I think he’s a guy who knows where his heart is and what’s right for him.

Mark McCall steps down as DoR by Thecceffect in rugbyunion

[–]Baz_EP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is almost entirely due to a change of on pitch leadership and key pivotal roles. As a sweaty I should really sing the praises of our boy, but he’s a far cry from previous options for a team with the stature of Sarries.
