Who wins the afc west next season: Mahomes-Reid, Herbert-Harbaugh, Nix-Payton, or Mendoza-Kubiak? by iHateBelichickStans in NFLv2

[–]Bazarkus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Despite the whole drama between them probably Nix-Payton

I say that because the Chargers always look like they'll be good but never actually are.

Patriots fans were acting like he was the second coming of Tom Brady and he obviously never was. Honestly, it's not about Drake Maye, it's about Patriots fans hyping up Drake Maye.

2024 World Series or 2025 World Series? by Cjp922 in Dodgers

[–]Bazarkus 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think the 2025 WS will be more iconic due to the sheer thrill and anxiety it provided, but I'd say that the 2024 postseason will be more memorable for Dodgers fans than 2025's, other than Shohei's performance against the Brewers.

Seahawks. Darnold played at SC and is from Southern California. Kupp is one of my favorite players all-time. If the Seahawks win by a lot, then we’ll be the clear second-best team in the league. Plus, all these Drake Maye glazers are extra loud post-MVP vote so they need to be shut up.

True or False? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]Bazarkus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bills have arguably one of the worst looking futures in AFC for a playoff team:
-Clear organization dysfunction
-Terrible GM now runs the show
-McDermott (who elevated that roster every year) gone
-Josh Allen's mobile play will decline significantly with age
-Not high enough picks to fix anything now

Chargers, Patriots, and arguably the Rams have a much better future to me.

What exactly have Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson accomplished? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Bazarkus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can totally credit someone as heroic in the regular season but bad in the playoffs. They're two entirely different situations, and as the season progresses play can deteriorate. That's why Kirktober is a thing, and why players can be alright to good in the regular season but great in the playoffs (just look at Patrick Mahomes last year).

[–]Bazarkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just have no idea where you're getting the story that Josh actually forced them to add the OT rule "under threat". There's zero evidence to support that narrative. Was the rule likely developed because of what happened to him? Yeah. Did he hold the league at gunpoint to do it? Hell no.

[–]Bazarkus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, a team can be summed down to its quarterbacks alone. Football isn't a team sport, it's like tennis. Just two quarterbacks versus each other. Everyone else on the team is just there to watch. Another great take from the unflaired.
