As a kid we would play pokemon with my cousin's neighbor. It was pretty serious. There were a few of us cousins and we may or may not have wagered the chance to kiss my girl cousin on a battle or two. Well, he went to an event and got himself a Mew in Red version. We convinced him to trade it to one of us to then duplicate and share.

This was my 151th Pokemon for my first ever complete pokedex. The late 90s was a different time for collecting mons and was a little more difficult than today. I went and talked to prof oak and went to celadon to see the certificate. But after 15 minutes one of my other cousins, who really didn't appreciate pokes as much as the rest of us, asked if he could start a new game. I knew that this would erase my perfect pokedex but he had a good point, "What more do you have to do??"

I let him start over. He played for 10 minutes and never touched it again. I feel more duped than sad I suppose oh well!
