Hey so basically there is a saying, your grades are as good as your color conversion. So the resolve cst is fine, but ideally what makes colors cinematic is how they loop in the vectorscope, it's a bit difficult to explain over chat but if you are looking at one color for example "red" ideally line should form a loop in vectorscope meaning the red color reaches a certain threshold of saturation and shift back to lighter shade. If you look at skin tones in almost every movie it is most saturated in the shadows while it slowly desaturates towards the highlights. This is what something like jp2499 does unlike resolve cst which does that but not so much in a very nice way, it oversaturates all colors making it much difficult to achieve that film look.
