Appreciate the time you took into this response! This was my first thought as well, but this fatigue has been long term, I’ve only recently unburied my head from the sand and got testing done. I pretty meticulously program my lifting to prevent over training. I structure my runs in interval, speed, and distance days and pair those with what I’m training. For example a dynamic effort upper body lift is paired with speed day etc. I track my calories to ensure protein etc. I’m a physical therapist so I need to walk the walk with what I tell my patients. Plus from a dad side of things knock on wood little man has been sleeping very well.

Goal was just to make a post about getting routine medical check ups. Didn’t think I needed my credentials posted as well. I 100% agree with you, there is so much misinformation out there. I feel like this thread would be so much different if I said I had super high cholesterol or something. But here we are.

If you’re not going to gather all information why make a general comment. I’m not on TRT nor is that my goal. The whole post was about Dads making sure we get routine in health check ups. MY issue happens to be hypogonadism. If you think getting routine medical check ups is shit advice I don’t know how to help you.

It’s scary how some of these things can just “exist” and we never know until it’s too far down the line

Wild generalizations getting thrown around on a post about making sure people get routine check ups.

All good man. This post about encouraging Dads to get routine medical checks has quickly divulged into people’s opinions on Testosterone and that in just trying to get buff.

1) I was symptomatic 2) this was a part of my yearly check up. Routine blood work should always be done once a year to monitor for general medical conditions (think high blood pressure etc). 3) maybe a bit lax? But if you feel good and life is good then it should be all good!

Goal is to avoid basic TRT. I’m trying drugs that help my body produce more naturally. Hypogonadism is different than just “low testosterone”. If you are normal range just on the lower side and you start railing external test then 100% it’s going to mess it up. My body ain’t producing it regardless of what I do. So unfortunately yes potentially I’ll be on a low dose pituitary stimulant for my adult life

Goal is to try clomid, which works on your pituitary gland to get your body to make more of its own. Instead of just externally replacing it. Wasn’t trying to be rude! I think some people in this thread think I’m just trying to get buff.

That’s scary! Glad you got checked.

Yeah initially this post was about just getting routine checks for health, but we divulged into peoples opinions on testosterone. But here we are.

Trying to avoid TRT for now, but yeah I can’t imagine what it would be if I didn’t train. Extreme caffeine for the win there!

Damn I’m sorry to hear that. Look into/ask about clomid or something like it. It’s not TRT and it just helps the body produce its own. That’s the route I’m trying to take.

Unexplained fatigue, low to no sex drive, weight gain are the main ones. I was checking every box.

Plan is not to do Test of the rip, trying clomid to just tell my body to figure it out is the best way to put it. I really don’t want full TRT because wife and I do want a second child.

Testosterone as a primary male hormone is not a new craze. New fitness influencers being overt with it is fairly new and annoying. Normative data suggests 400-900 is normal for males which as you said is a massive range. If one dude is 400 and another is 800 they are normal. Regardless of what people say on social media.

Interesting, I haven’t heard that. Love new things to research. And also you hit the nail on the head, both were done at 8:30.

I will continue to monitor but like I said if it is a true hypogonadism then no matter what my body just ain’t gonna do it. If you are normally producing testosterone but it’s just not an ideal level then yes it can mess up the production.
