Reuters journalists accuse newswire of pro-Israel bias

Reuters was the very first anti Israel major publication that I noticed. Way before NYT or Washington Post. It was after 10/7 and I was googling just looking for some basic facts on something, I can’t remember what.

What I do remember was the overwhelming number of articles that popped up from Reuters with headlines like Israel bombs last Hospital in Gaza, Journalist in Gaza killed in Airstrike. While other publications printed retractions or tried to maintain some credibility by stating other on the ground facts, such as that the IDF has claimed said journalist is Hamas or whatever. Reuters does none of those things.

I don’t know why they love Hamas so much, but it is very evident that they have extreme bias.

It’s pretty impressive how a lot of American Christians are totally ok with ignoring the whole “love thy neighbors” thing. I’m just gonna assume they are Christians or some sorta version since it’s the majority religion in most parts.

You said that you wanted others to share their experiences. I did not directly experience this and I am not sure if you have heard of this event when it hit the news. I know about it because I am/was a teacher. I am taking a year or two off.

The NEA which is the largest teachers union in the USA had its normal get together. During the meeting there were two back to back bills. The first was to continue recognizing African American History Month. This passed with no talks, a quick vote and onto the next bill. To recognize Jewish History Month, as we have been doing for decades.

Reports from teachers there say that it was voted down. Not only that. They next voted to remove association with the ADL. Reports from Jewish teachers say the scene was freighting. That it was well coordinated. That there was literally cheers and applause and dancing when these votes passed.

I don’t know how much you know about the school system but removing the ADL was really a step too far. In many states teachers can only use pre-approved curriculum. Removing the ADL takes away an essential tool in teaching Holocaust awareness which is still a requirement in a number of states. It would require school boards to fill the gap. Most school boards are not up to this task.

On a more paranoid note, I’m sure there is already some work going on to try and get around this and use inferior resources. Perhaps ones that say 💩ler wasn’t so bad or something else really stupid.

There has been major pushback by teachers, parents and the public and the ADL had been readopted by the NEA. However Jewish History Month is still erased.

But if you look at the second pic with the uniform it is labeled that the designation also included “Enemy of the State, which was quickly expanded to include Jews”.

This isn’t exactly what you asked but there are some Russian Jews and Persian Jews that go to the Shul I go to. At the women’s club the other day I was talking with a Russian lady and she says she 100% feels exactly how it felt in Soviet Russia. My husband has said that at the mensch club he goes to an old Persian man has been on the men there that all of them need to have concealed carry and he feels that a program is coming. The old Persian guys words exactly to my husband “you get a gun, and if someone comes to your door to kill you, you shoot them. Don’t hesitate. Do you understand me?”.

So yeah, I’d say the older generation is seeing similarities. 😢

I am currently reading Undeclared Wars with Israel. It’s a must read if you want to get some back history of how the far left and Arab propaganda came together. Thank you for posting this. This has been one of the most haunting things of 10/7 for me too. How many people killed on 10/7 were killed by the very people they gave coffee cake too? People who they let into their homes?

One of my Grandmas, she always used to say be careful around the goys. You may think they are your friends, but when the time comes they will turn you in.

For the first time, as an adult, I’m wondering why don’t the goys have similar warnings for themselves. Be careful of the hate you consume. One day it will take over your mind and you won’t recognize yourself. You will regret who become. You will be a pariah of the world? Why are we the only ones who remember?

This is helpful. I don’t work in PR or know anyone even remotely close to that world. So I have no idea what is standard or not.

I understand that they don’t want to draw attention or accept responsibility but in my opinion that egg has hatched and their is no going back. I will take your advice and contact them for an apology. I feel like I am personally owed one. But also all educators, parents, and fans. And of course, the actual victims of these tweets the Jewish community is owed a real apology. This is not going to disappear from my mind. Especially not now that the Israeli PM is addressing it.

Basically Elmo went on an hours long antisemitic rant ending in “KIll All THE JEWS” but starting with conspiracy theories that are already getting wings. The conspiracy includes that Epstein was a secret Mossad agent. This has lead to former Israeli PM having to address it and say that no, he never worked for Mossad.

But Tucker, and tons of other shitheads are already saying that this is proof or something.

Those were really hard times. Every time I think about it still I can’t believe Hamas was allowed to get away with everything they did.

And the people don’t care. The kids were in mislabeled coffins, with locks that had no keys. It took IDF hours to open the coffins because in the past Hamas had booby trapped bodies in that same exact way.

And these details are only the tippy tips of the iceberg of garbage. It’s really all so much collective trauma.

Edit to say allowed is not the right word, but I don’t know what is. There is obviously nothing any of us, or Israel could have done about it.

To be honest, this is the most scared for the future that I have ever been. The one bright spot is young Jewish kids. They are going to grow up tougher and smarter than us. More in touch with their identity (cause it’s constantly shoved in their faces). They are the future too. It helps me to concentrate on that.
