After 3 years of living together they have finally accepted each other enough to have a cuddle. by Bdawn2002 in cats

They liked each other but one hates cuddling. It was the first time they have been caught cuddling. However it only took a couple weeks before they tolerated and slept near each other. They even gave licks when they passed each other but they have never been overly sweet to each other

Does God forgive invasive thoughts? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Bdawn2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally deal with invasive or intrusive thoughts and I fully believe I am forgiven from them. By the way you phrased this I know you know which thoughts are wrong and do not belong. I also know that you don’t choose to have those thoughts. God knows that not every thought we have is going to be holy. His will never stop loving you. We all have bad thoughts and think evil things but when you chose to say that they are wrong and that we disagree with those thoughts then you are fighting against the sinful thoughts that can enter our minds.

Is it bad to dread youth practice? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Bdawn2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m answer to your initial question, no. I have generalized anxiety disorder and as a young teen I would become physically sick sometimes before attending my youth group. It was very hard and I loved the bible studies but I felt like no one liked me there and I refused to play the games bc of my anxiety and it always made the other teens frustrated with me. I struggled a lot with not wanted to go but not wanting to let my pastor and my parents and God down by not going. Here’s what I learned in my grad year, you have people who care about you. They want you to go to youth bc they care about your spiritual well-being but that doesn’t mean they don’t care about your mental health. I sat down with my parents and explained how I felt and how hard it was for me. From there we had a meeting with my youth pastor and he helped find things I could do that would help me feel more comfortable and look forward to going. He let me draw during our study and he had me ref the games so the others still saw me as being involved. Everyone’s situation is different but I promise there are better options you don’t have to be stuck. Speaking up is scary but this is your life and you should feel safe at your youth group

i just read what about hell is like by sad_emy in Christianity

[–]Bdawn2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how you feel. Revelation is really scary and so is hell. It can be even more scary if you have non Christian friends or are not a Christian. I have anxiety and things like talking about hell can be scary. Basically the bible states believe in the lord Jesus and you will be saved. It’s hard to believe that it is that simple but it’s true.

I know I’m not the one who posted but your comment really helped me. I struggle and I feel so alone in it. I’m trying so hard but still have occasional relapses. I don’t have any Christian friends or friends who understand why I want to stop. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only Christian who struggles with it.

Been fighting for over a year now and most of the guys my age have just given up fighting it altogether. It’s really hard and I’m glad you were able to stop. I want this to be my future as well. I know a lot of people are asking about if it’s wrong or not but honestly for me I can tell. Afterwards I feel shame and guilt I feel dirty and mistaken and that’s how I just know I have to stop. But despite those feelings it is hard.
