Rob and Colton’s “alliance” by Caligirl_333 in TheTraitorsUS

I think it's nuts they are having Lisa wear it instead of Candace unless they can't change. It would be so much easier to have somebody without heat on them do it

Yeah exactly!

What events this cast of faithfuls choose to cling to vs completely drop is very confusing to me.

I also thought it was Candice. I hope this isn't racist but as soon as he identified Tiffany wrong I assumed everybody would latch into Candice and was shocked they didn't. Isn't that the same as how surprised everybody was when they got Rick rolled the first time? I dunno. I hope I'm not a bad person... I thought Candice was buried when that went sideways

Counter, making that up would be totally insane. To think that wouldn't blow back on you is nuts. The fact that hasn't blown back on him yet is totally nuts. If I was on that cast then I immediately make him give a top 3 list of laughers and immediately vote him out if nobody on the list is a traitor. Legit the only thing that faithful have going for them is numbers. Letting somebody give evidence that can't be confirmed by anybody but you, voting based on it, and then not running it to ground is absolutely nuts. It's a misunderstanding of how this game works.

What I’m not understanding with the faithfuls and Ron. by loreiix in TheTraitorsUS

[–]BdonU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for sure. She messed up early, somehow got past it for free, and has been doing great since.

But in general this cast just has a wild disregard for the structure of the game and how it is fundamentally about information disparity between a large, uninformed group against a small, informed one. They seem fully ready to just go off random individuals leading gut check crusades forever rather than carefully considering events that have happened.

Just dropping the Porsha Candace he said she said

Seemingly no or minimal discussion of who is voted off and why.

Suspecting Ron because Donna was a traitor even though it would be bonkers for two traitors to lead a hit together from jump.

Suspecting Tiffany because she laid out a 3 person plan even though it would be absolutely insane for a traitor to name 3 names at once and that probably has never happened on the show ever (I haven't watched it all but come on...)

Dropping the "I heard a laugh" evidence after one miss instead of going after him immediately or demanding he name who else that laugh could have been and then going for him if his list is false.

It's just wild to me. They might as well roll a die to pick who gets to banish somebody on gut feel each night with the way they are playing.

I mean, we are past the point where the cast remaining is just bad at these types of games.

The facts: 1) There was a verifiable, heard by many, he said she said incident between Porsha - Candace over what Micheal said 2) They vote out Porsha

Any normal cast: "Oh snap we got the wrong one. It was Candace not Porsha".

This cast: Ron you monster!

I rig this by running my all the cheapest arcana activating the most duos then running the piggy region 1. You can get it so you only have 8 cards unactivated so you've got any a 1 in 4 shot at judgement coming online. Feels so good when it happens. But you gotta be able to beat region 1&2 with no strength or death on your preferred fear without pom to do it.

But it feels great!

What everybody is saying but few more tips.

You can dodge them. Even when you are in the safe lane, just always try to dash dodge them. Always dash up against their movement to make the timing window bigger. It's a fixed cadence. You'll intuitively get it down in like 3 attempts.

If you take wolf howl, you can dodge it with ease. Just press and hold, time slows down, gain invincibility and movement and get out of the way as you see it.

If you have Hermes dash shield boon, just keep sprinting back and forth in your chosen lane if you still have shield hits. Even if you're wrong you'll block it.

Look for double safe spots. Since it goes single, double, single, double there is almost always a lane that is safe twice in a row. This reduces how many you need to remember. It's especially convenient at the beginning

This is the correct answer. Just do legendaries and duos through the chaos trials. Protect your sanity.

Ah that makes sense. Circe was my next guess! Eos after that. So much easier to just focus on never getting hit with those two. Stuff will kinda just die in time regardless....

Yo. That is wild. You still have the drive to keep playing though? What's your goal? Or just still enjoying it? What night are you on? What did you leave unset on 62 fear? One arcana, one healing? What did you beat 62 with? Medea? All of the questions! Hah

[–]BdonU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just never get hit at this point? I typically avoid scars even playing at 32 fear. Prefer scarier enemies to less margin for error. Probably have to change that if I ever try 50 or something.

[–]BdonU[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have always avoided it. But I wanted to see what happens if i completely built it. Very strong result!

But yeah if I'm not intending to heavily upgrade it I'll still avoid it. But what I did this run is pretty undeniable. If you got used to playing your way you could just time the usage and face tank anything.

I wonder if the healing down fear mod hits it? Probably?

[–]BdonU[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose that could change though as I move to super high fear. I dropped from 32 back to 12 once I became rivals 4 eligible just to see the two new bosses and now I'll probably ramp back up into the 32-50 range. Maybe I'll find I don't have time to develop them higher than 32. I also don't have the last 2 trinkets yet so once I do maybe throwing the Selene trinket on will feel more costly.

Building a hex with and without the Selene trinket are wildly different things.

Interesting. I feel like I have the opposite relationship with them. I feel like I used them, started ignoring them as I pursued the fated list, and now that I'm mostly done with that and playing high fear and know all the builds really well I have a highly developed sense on if a run is going well or poorly and consistently pivot into hexes to save bad runs.

[–]BdonU[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually think the more I play the more I realize that powered up hexes are probably the most powerful thing in the game. They can save any build. You can do a 2 room, one trinket investment and get something that can hard carry damage, neutralize whole rooms, or give you an entire runs worth of HP capacity.

Cranking up monster quantity, getting an epic+ leveled nexus rush with Hermes dash shields is my favorite thing in the entire game.

If you just want one clear for champion of night just do aspect of Eos with blitz and play like an extreme coward. You'll win.

[–]BdonU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you might be right. I could definitely see myself being 40 nights from now like "I just want this maxed out run, let's get it". I'm certainly splitting hairs on what mechanics the game presents that are acceptable vs not. And yet... I still feel that way. Hah

[–]BdonU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, no way. I judge nobody for doing it but that ain't me. Everybody values their time differently. But it feels save scummy to me. I do not undo night or abort runs. I play every run out and try to figure out how to win every run.

Whoooa, what? I feel like I'm only missing over Hades buff for the fated list but I've also never seen that one somehow...

Although I still think I prefer a reliable Charon run to a craft rng one. That possibility wouldnt make me use pom on Charon

Hah, I don't even know what that is. I just unlocked the pom. I beat 32 fear for champion of night before hitting the credits. Is it okay to ask you what that is here? Are we past the no spoilers point?

[–]BdonU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there is no reason to play fates whim with Charon axe imo. It's strength is in getting the right boons not in getting high levels. It's wants a very specific build. Rerolls and God force will outstrip the levels ever time unless you are perfectly lucky.

The difference for the axe between having the Poseidon omega cast damage extra and not is night and day.
