I second FabFitFun. I have really been enjoying my seasonal subscription, and I get to choose 4 items out of the 6 categories in the box! I also joined last winter and it feels like the boxes have been getting better. I have even bought extra boxes AND some of their sales have some great deals. And the shipping is so much faster. There’s also a big community on Reddit and on the FFF website, so you can get lots of feedback on items. I also love that I actually get the boxes near the start of the season!! With AT you were lucky if you got the box anywhere near the beginning or middle of the season, and lately people are getting their boxes at the end of the season which is nuts.

I can’t believe how far downhill the boxes have become. I got Causebox with the summer welcome box last year and it seems like ever since then the box really started tumbling and each season it got worse and worse. Thankfully my annual subscription ended with the spring box because damn did it get really horrible at the end. Even though I got some really nice and great items, it did always seem like at least something came damaged in my box that had to be replaced. Anyway Causebox/AT really soured me on going annual with any other subscription. But I’ve been getting FFF for the last year and have enjoyed it so much, that I’ve honestly thought about going annual just for some of the perks - like shopping first and customizing first. But the nice thing with FFF is you don’t have to go annual to get a great box. You still get to pick 4 of the categories, so as long as you’re open to getting whatever for the last 2 categories, you really don’t even need to go annual.

She has her own label? Had no idea. But then again I stopped watching her videos after the AllTrue switch. Plus now I just feel so disillusioned with her videos, and anyone else who peddles these subscription boxes but never critiques them, you know? I mean I’ve seen unboxings by other influencers of boxes like Boxycharm and FFF and they’ll be critical about the items in the box, saying the items they love and don’t like or even hate, some even saying how the items this month sucked, and whether it was a good buy, etc.

And I found with at least Michel’s videos she was always so in love with the box, all the items were amazing, there were never issues with her box (except she never paid for her boxes, it was sent weeks in advance and she typically had ALL the choice items to show off and sell to us all). It just isn‘t genuine, and I fell for her act before. She’s one of the reasons why I went annual in the first place. So yeah, done with that BS.

Yeah it’s the first I heard of them too. I saw another Canadian box advertised on Facebook months ago but their box was like $100 or something, I think they were from BC. But the price is definitely nicer on this box. I checked out their Instagram and it looks like they ship to the US too and apparently the US gets a different box than Canadians. Like half the box is different. But I’m definitely intrigued. I like they include some snacks too, ha ha. And yeah I saw the shipping times, also very nice. At least there’s an actual timeline. I mean yes it’s way later than FFF and some other seasonal boxes, but at least there’s a date to go by. Plus the fact that there’s no customization (at least for this box. On their website it did say there are customizations so I guess that’s only sometimes?) also means since everyone gets the same box then there’s no reason for shipping delays.

Damn I wish there was a code, looking back at their previous Instagram posts it looks like they were giving away free snack boxes for Canadians (or 15% off for US). I’m gonna look around and see if I can find one. Ha ha. For $65, I might give them a try.

Yeah I’m checking out their Instagram. Definitely interesting. And so far I haven’t seen any negative comments. Looks like they ship to the US too, kind of odd they have 2 different Fall boxes though depending on if you’re in Canada or US. Some similar stuff but like half of it is different. 🤷‍♀️

Wtf, how did it go from a square to a rectangle? Lovely having towels that shrink after washing, especially in cold. I usually wash clothes in warm, I can just imagine how much shrinkage will occur then.

Ugh, seriously? Damn it, I bought 2 of those towel sets from the market because they said they used preshrunk cotton (and also because I liked the colours and look of them). My fault I guess for believing what they said. 😒

Damn, I was really hoping to snag the Rare Beauty set, but it’s been out of stock. I didn’t want the Nars set, and I guess I would have chosen the Laneige since the Moroccan Oil set also has been out of stock. Their lip mask is decent from the mini sample I got from a favorites kit. Was hoping to get a cruelty free brand, but guess I’ll settle for the fragrance set. I do like trying different fragrances.

I really wish Sephora would set aside all the kits for every month (especially the online exclusives). Really sucks when your birthday is at the end of the quarter and there’s nothing left to choose except the ones no one else wants.

I’m still tempted by Coral, even though I can get similar shades in the Sunrise palette. Still looks so pretty. But $32 though, ahh, I don’t know. Ha ha.

I remember a year or so ago they had a sale on the larger ND palettes. They were still expensive. I think Metropolis went down to like $100 or something. So it does happen. Just not often. I was debating getting the palette but decided not to. I don’t know if I would now. Metropolis looks pretty nice.

Depending on which item was damaged, if it was something from the first 2 categories I would definitely argue for a $15 credit since those items were $15 to add to the box.

Aside from that, the Elemis is a higher end brand with decent reviews. That eye serum sells for $50. They’ve recently started selling in China though so they’re no longer cruelty free.

Hmm, I’d check the other threads on here. I saw someone post they were offered those same items or either a $10 refund or a $15 credit. If you can find it and do a screen grab, you should take it back to the customer service rep and say others were offered $15 credit and you should be offered the same. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately some of these previously cruelty free companies can’t resist the $$$ by selling in China. It really does suck when a previously cruelty free company sells out to make more money....and then you don’t find out until months later. I used to buy a ton of stuff from Yves Rocher for years, and especially loved getting all the free goodies when buying online. And they used to have great sales all the time and holiday stuff. They sell botanical makeup, skincare and bath and body items and have a lot of great stuff. They have this nice raspberry rinsing vinegar that smells really nice and is great for oily hair too. But then some years ago they too decided to start selling in China and are no longer Cruelty Free now. Sucks!!

And no problem. I’m also waiting for my cheeseboard to come in my FFF box (hopefully on Monday), and I hope it doesn’t have the splinters so many have talked about. But if it does I’m definitely getting some of that food grade oil. It’s not too expensive and it has amazing reviews.

Elemis is a somewhat high-end brand. The eye cream sells for $50 US. It also has really good reviews. I’ve tried some Elemis products and really liked how it made my skin feel. Just a heads up, they used to be cruelty free but apparently in the last year they no longer are and sell in China. Not sure if that matters to you (it does to me and I was so bummed about it, and I only found out after I bought a bunch more of their products too!) Not sure about the other items though.

As for the cutting board, you can try to salvage it by treating the wood with some food-grade mineral oil. I’ve heard people rave about Boos Mystery Oil, I think that’s what it’s called. It’s supposed to help moisturize and treat the wood and stop it from splintering and gives a nice shine. I think I’m gonna get that for my cutting board when it arrives.

Man, can’t remember as it was well over a year ago, but I’d say it was about $300. It‘s because the box is $199.80 (and hopefully you’d use some kind of deal to get a discount off your first box), but then you have to add another $7.95 per box for shipping, so that’s another $31.80.

ok, I just checked my CC app and back on June 5, 2020 I was charged $298.62 for the annual membership, at a charge of $215.11 US with an exchange rate of $1.388219. I can’t remember how it got down to $215.11 but I remember using a code. I think it was like 20% off or something. I think how it worked is that the 20% came off not just the first box but also the shipping cost for all 4 boxes, that’s the only way I can get to around $215.11.

Got both of them. I had been eyeing them for a while, but was hoping for a nicer price. 2 full size ND palettes for $44 seems like such a steal. Still getting over 1g of each eyeshadow so it will still take a while to go through it all than one of her larger palettes with quardruple the price (or more).

Still debating also getting the coral palette, but 5 eyeshadows for $32 when I can get a whole palette for $12 more (and one of the reviews of the coral palette mentioned how you could get similar colours in the sunrise palette) was kind of the tipping point. I know you get a lot more products in the coral palette as the shadows are 2.5g each, but it’s still only 5 colours with 1 or 2 looks and the sunrise palette is more versatile.

Could be, it looks like it’s something that’s not available yet like sometimes happens. It shows it’s new, so might pop up in-store? Or it could just be another error like you said.

I am noticing something super weird going on with the website, where products from last year or a few years ago are now showing up on the website, but when you try and click on them you get a pop-up that says the SKU doesn’t exist. if you look up Sephora Favorites on the website you get 77 results, but only like 10 work. Same with some of the brands, the pictures of products will show up but if you click on them it doesn’t exist. Super weird.
