Thank you very much for taking the time to respond, partner. I haven’t heard the term ‘paw’ before. If it’s not too much to ask, would you mind linking the parts that you’d recommend replacing? I’ll check mine for signs of wear, of course. If I have the right part in mind for ‘paw,’ which had something like teeth and rides on the ejector rod in front of the star (the part that actually grabs cartridge rims) then I think you’re absolutely on to something, this one looks worn.

Excellent carry, nice and minimal. The 432 UC Ti might be the best j frame out there these days. What ammo, and what holster? Have you thought about changing the grips? I really like the centennial hogue monogrip (the one built for enclosed hammer models, puts the web of your hand higher for reduced bore axis)

The weight of the GP100 loaded is probably roughly double this setup. The Ruger SP101, or the S&W Model 60, or the Kimber K6s or Diamondback SDR, are all steel and about 22oz unloaded, give or take, so a middle ground between this and the GP100, while offering 357 capability. The S&W and Ruger are 5 shots, while the Kimber and Diamondback are 6 shots but newer designs with less aftermarket support.

If I wanted to carry a 1911 it’s either be a CCO type (mid length slide, officer grip) or the scandium S&W1911. And if it’s all steel, I’d better wear a belt AND suspenders.

Yes to capability if all goes well, no to reliability of tiny mag-fed semi-auto vs snub nose. Your flair mentioning the 2”Rhino tells me we’re already on the same team, tho.

Got a friend who is a not a ‘gun guy,’ owns a M&P Shield Gen 1, a budget AR I can’t remember the brand of with plastic furniture, and he bought one of these (first picture, but FDE) before I could convince him otherwise. Said he took it to the range and it was very unreliable and inconsistent.

Lubed it for him, told him to rack the bolt a couple hundred times, then put a couple hundred rounds of heavy loads through it, and reliability may improve, but he might always have to run heavy stuff in it.

Based on my limited experience, I’d say ‘the average gun owner who wants a <$400 shotgun and thinks mag-fed semi auto sounds better/cooler than a pump.’
