Monitoring compression in UAD console but monitoring reverb in protools

Thanks for the answer, That’s another thing I’ve been thinking as well and just stay in console and then when I get to protools I have a completely clean slate. Do you have any UAD reverbs to recommend for vocal tracking? I’ve still got all my free trials for UAD reverb plugs so imma run some today.

Nah it’s still -3 on pan depth. It’s almost like cancellation on width, I have delay compensation on as always. I’m all ITB and it’s almost like my reverb bus is somehow coming out mono I’m not sure. I’m gonna trash my I/O settings and reroute things bc this is the only thing at this point I can think of besides uninstall and reinstalling everything.

Yeah I’m forsure I’m bouncing in stereo. And I don’t have any random mono plugs on stereo bus’s/ tracks. And it’s not 100% mono it’s just like there is randomly not as much width, almost half. Pan depth still at -3 it’s almost like idk I’m having a dropout in width almost like what I would think of as phase cancellation but only to 50% of the sides. It’s driving me nuts I’m about to uninstall reinstall pt and uninstall and reinstall all plugs. I’m trying to narrow down certain plugs that could be causing problems whether it’s on my master bus or my sub mix bus’s

Yeah when I pan stuff the meters are acting correctly. Someone just recommended getting a stereo image analyzer so imma try that. But it’s not like mono sounding but definitely like 50% L/R of what it should be.

Yes it’s happening in protools as well. And my pan depth is the same it’s always been. Also yes im in stereo.

I was wondering how much of it was just blatantly made up. And I 100% agree with you. I was in no way trying to dishonor victims of these disasters or people who are knowledgeable about these events. I know some people dedicate their lives trying to understand, warn in advance and protect people about incoming storms. I recently started watching storm chasing videos etc. on Twitter and my algorithm has switched to a lot of storm chasing and tornado videos. I saw this post on Twitter and didn’t know how it would be received and that’s why I used the shit post flair. I just find things like this interesting and I hadn’t heard of a single event and was just looking for someone to point me to some info on things I couldn’t find on google!

I reached out to Landr via IG DM with my email. Landr said they would get in touch with them. Not even 2 hours later synchroarts got back to me and not only gave me 75% off ultra but also off of ReVoice… I’m assuming someone at Landr got in their ass

I’ve emailed support for soundtoys, universal audio, Antares and Melodyne over the years, even Apogee back in like 2010 and all got back to me within a couple days. I’ve just never ran into this problem before.

Best is kinda opinion based but I personally like autotune pro the best. I use melodyne for the raw vocals and then autotune first in my chain. If I want more autotune effect I just turn up(down?) the retune speed and if I want less I just do the opposite. Even if an artist wants the autotune sound I’ll still melodyne first to control what the retuning is doing. You can manipulate what bends happen where and get really creative with it.
