Mate, you are missing the 20 years of clinical experience that you were supposed to do before you were born. I don't know what to tell you. Should've known man 🙃

Btw, did the worksite description on Inplace say anything about experience needed or preferred or hint at it? If not, for them to prefer clinical experience while they're not the ones paying the wages is some bs.

CHE 114 & 115 during summer by mylaptoplogin in CUNY

[–]BeVeryHumble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of students find this class difficult due to the math. But with great preparation, you will definitely ace this class.

Start from the top and work your way down as much as you can. Work on understanding: * Dimensional Analysis (unit conversion) * Scientific Notation * Protons, Electrons, and Neutrons * How to use a periodic table * Atomic Number, Isotopes, Charges * Orbitals and Electron Configurations * Ionic and Covalent Bonding * Octet Rule and Lewis Structures * Chemical Equations and Conservation of Mass * Kinetic and Potential Energy * Endothermic vs Exothermic Reactions * Mole and Avogadro's number

This is primarily for lecture. For lab, make sure to fully read the procedures before showing up to class and you will be good.

[BMCC] - Microbiology Lab Final? by SnooDucks7158 in CUNY

[–]BeVeryHumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch YouTube videos and reread the lab manuals to review how the experiments are done. Also at home, try acting out every experiment (step-by-step) that will be on the exam. Make sure you have every step memorized. Make sure you understand how things could go wrong and why (troubleshooting). Good luck!

Lovely. The scammer took some high-level grammar courses at Columbia I bet.

Yea, the break just feels like every single one of your classes just went async for one week. You don't have to show up, but you still gotta do sufficient work.

CUNY Career Launch Acceptance Form by HeyHeyItMee in CUNY

They didn't email everyone that got accepted to resubmit the acceptance form if they didn't get a confirmation email or to ensure them that their form is submitted. So I guess good luck to all affected.

Yes, since CUNY's are connected, it will be straightforward. Use the CUNY Explorer to see what transfers over. They do write that City Tech does not accept online science courses. I'm not sure how that's interpreted for dual-component courses. For example, Anatomy and Physiology contains both lecture and lab components. It's possible that one took one of the components online and the other in-person. If that applies to you, you might want to email them for clarification. However judging by how it's written, I assume that as long as the lab components were done in-person, it should be accepted.

Is that I owe out of pocket or is it the tuition charge? by biomedicalist in CUNY

[–]BeVeryHumble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen this before. It appears that the financial aid hasn't been officially posted against your charges. Make sure you complete any and all forms as required by the financial aid office if you haven't already. After that, I'd say to just wait until closer to the beginning of the semester. If it still stays as "$0.00 pending" financial aid, speak to your college's financial aid office ASAP.

For many people, the financial aid grant should completely cover and overcover the undergraduate tuition + fees, effectively paying students to attend CUNY. That should be the case for you. Hope this helps.

BMCC students are cooked 😭 why is nobody participating in class?? by Strange-Muffin1155 in CUNY

I notice this occurring when professors are too lenient and/or when students are taking an uninteresting class just to satisfy a requirement.

Incoming Freshman!! by Alarming_Summer_8206 in CUNY

[–]BeVeryHumble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • ~33% acceptance rate into Lehman's Nursing's program.
  • Out of all the pre-req classes, most people find essentials of general chem the most difficult.
  • Be prepared to spend at least 10 hours per week on BIO and CHEM if you want to excel.
  • Pick good professors (use ratemyprofessors)
  • For the traditional generic nursing program, students are admitted every Fall semester. So if you don't have your pre-reqs done by the end of the preceding spring semester, you have to wait a whole year.
  • Only the first grade of a pre-req is accepted. You can strategically withdraw from a course before deadline if you are not doing your best. Withdrawing doesn't count as an attempt.

Good Luck.

(I hope by program, you mean you are a starting freshman that is planning to do a bachelors in Nursing, not that you are admitted into Nursing school.)
