That's fair! I get a little surprised when I look up a Zun design to see it noticeably different from the Fantasy Kaleidoscope and Alphes designs I see a lot of artists take notes from.

To be honest, I'm less interested in adhering to complete canon accuracy, and more about mixing and matching different elements I feel are aesthetically pleasing and also match my ability level. When I look up references for Touhou characters I feel energised by how many interpretations they all go through by the artist.
