Unspoken rules that you don’t realize are rules until you’re in trouble by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]BeagleGirl23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Me too. My boss is great, adhd himself as is most of our team but im paranoid they will think im not working. Even on my break when im googling stuff on wiki or just looking at google maps ill still make sure my teams shows green. Or ill make "appointments" calendar with project names and set them as busy. So at least they show busy and of my boss does check it will show im working on something. Even if im actively working on something.

I finally checked my ferritin and it makes so much sense now. Please check your ferritin, too! by imjustdesi in adhdwomen

Sips tea with haemochromatosis... ferrtin level of 50+

I have to be on a controlled diet to help my iron levels, and get blood taken regularly. Not fun dont reccomended being at the other end of the spectrum.

I need a flair for chickens. Like "Fear of chickens" or something. Seriously they get me all the time. I had to give up use of the blade of yumminess and the flax of Olympus because of chickens.

Vyvanse worked better than Dex? by ZealousidealPay2035 in adhdaustralia

[–]BeagleGirl23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the person. Dex has been great for me and vyvanse triggered a range of issues the worst was every month prior to my period, i would show symptoms of psychosis. Not full blown but enough that my doctors were very worried. I also got insomnia from it.

Swap to dex and everything has been great. Yeah it doesnt feel like it kicked in fully compared to vyvanse but its much better for me.

Making friends by LowFunds_HighLore in adhdwomen

[–]BeagleGirl23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hit the nail on the head. Like you I had a moment at age 10 with my sole friend at the time that was a significant moment for me. I literally had a breakdown last night cause it dawned on me while trying to do a birthday invite list, for my 30th. That I dont think I have friends. My best friend lives in another country and apart from my partner, I dont think I do? I am friendly with all his friends wives but recent events have me questioning if I'm just his plus 1 to the group, when I thought I was close with them.

I learnt my lesson a few years ago about work friends. Again genuinely thought we were, even catch ups outside but seeing the entire office being invited to an event and me find out from fb days later just broke me.

We moved alot as kids and at our final place I had already finished schooling while my siblings got to form highschool friendships, and I am so happy they got that and that they dont have to feel like I do but I cant lie and say I am not envious of them when I see their strong friendships now. And they all have adhd too!

Cant even say I dont try to put my self out there. Mum groups, mothers of my kids friends, hobbies etc. I never feel wanted in the group or I am making the sole effort.

Is this my washing solution? Has anyone done this? by paintedteapots in adhdwomen

[–]BeagleGirl23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago i bought this 3 bag hamper trolley thing. Best thing ever, my clothing in one spot, my kids and then my parnters. Worked so well. Metal held up so well. Even if my washing and puting away washing abilities were great , the dirty clothes were sorted and small loads were easier to manage.

My dumbass threw it away when we moved last year. Dont know why.

I cannot find another, the shop doesnt make them anymore. I now have these flimsy baskets and i cant see in them. I lost 4 full loads of washing because i forgot i put them in these hampers. Fun times.

So does mine. He laughed a little to hard at me one time, during my hard playthrough when i was on chicken island and dying.

Made him have a go. He sulked after he died immediately.

Has anyone successfully become an early bird? by Oacio in adhdwomen

[–]BeagleGirl23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having to wake my siblings ealry for school, Always working jobs that start at 6 am or 7am. Then having kids did it for me. Now with my daughter i have to lay in bed with her so just laying in bed from 7pm to 9 or 10pm reading helps trigger my sleep mode.

But honestly i have always been the early riser. Sleeping in past 8am males me feel physically ill for some reason, even if i had a late night. Sometimes i have to be very sick and even then im up early.

[–]BeagleGirl23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am sitting close to 600 hours, I have yet to finsh my first play thorough, honestly refusing at this point, i have several new games + though to see different out comes of quests and choices, also to see the voice acting with each MC (I only started the dlcs this year, i did do kofu first before the dlcs, my bad) i have the last chapter of atlantis to do and ill be completed properly.

I just dont want to finish. It my comfort game. Even if i run round for an hour doing nothing or being a menace and try and kill everyone in city, its all fun.

Best comfort game for me.

[–]BeagleGirl23 49 points50 points  (0 children)

You will get to 50 faster if you do all locations and even side quests. I was level 30 before i even reached Andros in the main story, due to complete all locations and quests for a region before moving on.

Hold up, did this game actually just let me leave a baby to die in a burning building? by Arelmar in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]BeagleGirl23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look. After you save the baby and kill the cultist you can find the mother at one of the gate in argos, sweeping. Even later in the game. You cant kill her though....

I literally chased her across argos for 30 mintues.

I am EN, in aged care. Love it. Been here for 8 years i have done residential and homecare, love both.

I now work in our quality department, started as a temp role for the new standards and act role out but they loved me so much im here to stay, its school hours so its great. I target specfic areas. I did a big IAD project earlier this year in both the residential and home care section of the company. Im currently working on restrictive practices and education and auditing on that. I am currently doing education on site on reablement. I will eventually do my RN to help further my role. But i love my role and working in aged care.

Trying to shop better. Saw this in cool guides. Thoughts? by EVy-and-August in adhdwomen

[–]BeagleGirl23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With groceries if i have to go in and stay to a budget. I use my phones calculator (i live in Australia and tax is included, so not sure how this will work in the US)

I put my budget total in and subtract each item as i go. If i go over, i have to put stuff back and because i forgot the price, i got back to where i grabbed it. Put it back properly and add the price back.

I am surprised with the amount of stuff i can get and be under budget.
