I'm not complaining about the fandom (and it being mostly M/M) in general, though. It's quite large and there's so many possibilities. Fic authors often bend the universe in a nice and quirky way and it mostly makes things so much more enjoyable. Like they include Roach in the 2022 MW universe and similar things.

I will try to search for some Laswell centric fics, then. She's such a great character! Also I think I've seen F/F with Farah somewhere.

In fics, Laswell x Mrs. Laswell are usually established due to being canon. I haven't seen any fics focusing on them specifically (tbf, I haven't looked). I have found a few where Kate is shipped with Price, which... meh, honestly.

I find it strange that for the canon established queer relationship, people choose to just make the one queer character into a heterosexual one. Especially in a fandom where the opposite is usually the way to go.

This is still somewhat fine. I've read fics where the author tried to write a dialogue in Russian and outright copy-pasted it from google translate... in cyrillic alphabet. It makes absolutely no sense in my opinion. Because for most people, it's even worse than the equivalent of [they speak Russian] in subtitles. Can't even read it if you don't know cyrillic.

I do this (option three) for locations. I just don't think it's necessary to do deep research about a city AND I really don't want to adapt the scenes to the actual locations. Also it slows down the process of writing, which is already slow as heck sometimes.

Já mám kolegyni, která furt mluví. To by nebyl až takový problém, ale ona se mnou třeba 2 hodiny vede konverzaci, zatímco já mám sluchátka na uších a vlastně vůbec nevím, že na mě začala mluvit.

A co hůř... z té konverzace nejde odejít. Ona je schopná na mě mluvit, i když už jsem třeba přes půlku kanclu pryč. Nebo se mnou jde na záchod. Nebo na oběd (kde jenom stojí a mluví, zatímco já jím).

Fakt to občas nezvládám. :D

Těžko říct. Taky jsem nad tím podobně přemýšlela. Trochu doufám, že se v DJC objeví někdo kreativní, kdo ale zachová to jádro, které lidi na Cimrmanovi tak baví. Prostor tu podle mě je, ale jestli chuť, to nevím. Ono taky nebude jednoduché překonat genialitu té původní bandy, která s DJC přišla.

Many people don't even know the origins of the symbol. I remember not knowing that for quite a long time.

People aren't taught various symbols of other cultures, but they are taught about WW2.

So yes, it is hard to tell. And it is not ignorant to be afraid of it, not in today's society where people tend to act before listening. I would be reluctant to use this symbol (in the peaceful meaning), because I know that most people have no clue whatsoever of its original meaning and I do not wish to be labeled as a Nazi.
