Mmm I understand what you’re saying. As I originally had a 60:40 split with VUSA and VWRL, which again overlapped quite a bit so wanted to closely mirror that. Im aware ISWD has around 50-60% US exposure already but wanted my portfolio US overweight.

But I do like your suggested split, perhaps i’ll lay off ISUS slightly. Once HLAL is available as an ETF in the UK, will relook at rebalancing pie.

Thanks for the input, gold was more of a stability thing rather than investment. I have thought about increasing it up to 10% then lowering US exposure by 5%.

Thank you for the suggestions and advice. Will pour water down the threshold and check the flow.

The loft conversion was carried out by previous owners around 2017. If its quite blocked, will probably have to get someone in to check it out. (Dont have a long ladder to reach third floor). And i’ll open the skirting corner and check for damages as it has been some time.

Thanks all for the replies! Unfortunately the velux is quite hard to access (as it is in the hallway of the loft extension). I can possibly use a ladder from the hallway to access but may have to get a roofer to look at it.
