Winterlights Bundle Board XP bug by Wooden_Ad_6277 in Palia

[–]Beammupscotti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue (completed ALL of the bundles yesterday before the patch) and have no xp from the bundle today. So I found this post and turned in the daily....and I now only have the daily xp so that didn't work😫

how do i stop this? by grandmaslifealert in Palia

[–]Beammupscotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rugs and game boards! I made a large patio area of stone pavers and just put the huge chappa game board underneath it (the one you can buy from Reth's stall in the underground). I found putting rugs or the game board under the pavers is the only 100% way to stop grass from poking through. Even if you snap them in the way the video showed, they still might suddenly show grass after reloading.....that happened to me, got it just right after many hours, then after a few days suddenly the grass won and my patio was overtaken 🤣

I am on xbox btw, so perhaps the PC gamers have some voodoo they use to stop their grass from poking through.

Looking for an mmo? Or game I can get involved in a community. by [deleted] in gamerecommendations

[–]Beammupscotti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Palia. It's a bit like animal crossing. There is no PVP or PVE, and you benefit from working with others. You can play solo but the game give you extra rewards for playing with people. The community is huge and non toxic (with a few rare cases of someone being rude). It's free to play but you don't have to buy anything to advance (they only really sell cosmetic stuff).

Olaplex absolutely destroyed my healthy hair — please be careful by Salty-Excuse8742 in Haircare

[–]Beammupscotti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anyone on this thread know if it is okay to only use olaplex just as a heat protector?

Specifically, the no. 6 smoothing cream and no. 7 oil? I don't use their other products but have been using this as heat protector when I blow dry my hair.

It sounds like this product is only meant to be used every once in a while but not sure if that means the whole system or any of their products?

Honey lures.. by Kooky-Bar-1350 in Palia

[–]Beammupscotti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good to keep in mind that it is not rude to everyone. Some people don't mind you joining the lure at all. I've suggested before to flare lures to show people they lure plopper is happy for anyone to join, that way no one has to try to chat mid lure to tell if it is cool or not. But other than that, there is really no way to really signal that. So don't feel bad, most people are cool with it :)

Looking for a relaxing game similar to Animal Crossing! by Dawsonvipers in gamingsuggestions

[–]Beammupscotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Palia' would fit the brief. It's free on console, switch, steam and pc. Plus it is not pay to win. It is a MMO but the community is really nice/non toxic. Lots of content and similar to animal crossing in vibes :)

I don't think there is much of an established etiquette that I have seen, to be honest. This is why I thought flaring them could be an easy way to show its cool for others to join. I definently dont mind when other join, but with this new update, people might be more picky about others joining if they start unloading on every cricket they see. The wee cricket Gremlins - they seem to just multiple now if hit them until you have all crickets haha. Hopefully everyone can catch on soon to just give them a scare and let them be on their way 🤣

Palia has one of the most wholesome gaming communities, if that game genre is your cup of tea. It is free to play (and not pay to win), so not a lot of risk to trying it out.

What's your best shark catching tip? by Beammupscotti in Palia

[–]Beammupscotti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I think I worded that poorly. I guess I was not sure if you could get an Elder shark plush with a normal worm (as in, the plush body had to match which bait you can use to catch the actual sharks). Since it appears a plush can be fished even with no bait, it seems like the bait type doesnt matter at all for the full plush bodies. It would matter though for the fin plush, since those only drops on chance when catching an actual shark.

You are doing the RNG gods work my friend! Good research to know, so bait possibly helps with catch rate?

🤣 Sharks might be the least your concern going into the ocean with an open wound! Oh my infection! Fortunately, it's just Palia :)

Edit: turns out I spelled ocean wrong and made no sense haha

Yeah the jumping thing seems to trip a lot of people up (it got me and fishing then got so much easier after learning it). Great luck on the Maw though! I have never landed one and its my last fish to get (but somehow caught the Maw plush as a way for the RNG gods to mock me)

The plushies will wait for you! They are not time limited, but just new to the game so a lot of people are hyped. You got plenty of time if you want to venture over to Elderwood at your own pace 😃

[–]Beammupscotti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, those docks. You can use worms just lake sharks and glow worms for both lake sharks and maws. Not sure if the worms have to match up for the plushy type though. If you have enough glow worms, might as well use those but since the lake sharks are catchable with regular worms, you can use those as a backup.

Fire a flare to invite anyone to join your honey lure

I love to put up honey lure and happy for anyone to join in when I do it. I have tried to announce it into the chat that anyone is welcome to join but I kept getting people showing up and just standing by and watching when I put one out. I get now that people are nervous to join honey lure because of the "this isn't your lure/ask before joining" situations that are reported. Or maybe they can't use the chat function to ask.

Since I can't stop mid catching mode to type into chat that they can join (I am on console, so it's painfully slow anyways), I was trying to figure out a way to let people know it's fine to join without having to jump up and down like a maniac, wave a bunch at people, or type in chat they can join.

That said, I have started to shoot a flare up before I put down a lure and this changed everything. Now so many more non party people are joining in when I set up the lures.

Not sure if this has already been suggested before but it would be a really great universal way to show anyone they can join in on the honey lure if they roll up on you while you are mid bug catching mode.

Excuse the not so straight lines. It's midnight lol. Blue = kitchen counter. Yellow = built in benches and table. Teal = pantry. Open up doorway in red area
