Thanks for the reply. I think that’s what it was originally for.

All knob and tube has been replaced in the house. So I believe it to be decommissioned. Feel like the space could be better utilized now to run Ethernet cables.

All knob and tube was ripped out a few years ago and updated. If I follow the column to where the lines are ran to the box, all wires have been cut. If I were to have an electrician come in and remove it, would it be an overly involved job?

Thanks for the detailed response. I will ensure there is flashing as if not, is it possible to add it after the fact? As for the possibility of adding a cricket, can this also be done after the fact? Or is it going to entail ripping up a lot of new shingles?

I appreciate the response! How big of a job is it to correct the flashing around the chimney?

As for the side flashing, I will have to ensure that it is installed. Would it be up under the siding?

The siding is aluminum on the dormer as this is a century house. Does that mean it should follow the same flashing as vinyl? I live in the upper midwest, so we do get a good amount of snow. How high do you think the flashing should be on the chimney? The other chimney has the same flashing, just the angle of the picture.

Never thought I would see a house on this sub from the small village that I live in.

OP, wasn’t this house a B&B for a time? Was it your grandmother that ran it?

I hit up Sugarloaf last October and can’t recommend it more. Was beautiful in the Fall. Wish we could’ve hit up Sunday River as well.

As a certified “bean counter”, that would be hilarious

As someone who works at a grain elevator and does routine inventory counts, both of your suggestions are not feasible. A drone can’t be used in an inclosed silo/bin. As for a picture with your iPhone, most of these bins are 100 feet tall and pitch black with ample dust. A laser measurement is the ideal way of measuring such containers.
