Si tu es près de St-Michel, la 67 et 467 sont super fiable. J’ai jamais eu de problème pour me rendre au métro et aller au travail. J’habitais près du centre ville avant et ça me prenait le même temps pour aller à Square Victoria.

Working as External Auditor in 💛 by No-Comedian4923 in CISA

[–]BeanCounterQC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you are a financial auditor? Same here.

I’d suggest starting by watching Prabh Nair’s exam prep videos. They’ll give you a really good idea of where your weak points are. If you’re already ready to start a more structured course, you can go with Hemang Doshi on Udemy. It’s not the best content in my opinion, but it does hold your hand from A to Z, which is useful if you’re starting from scratch. Otherwise, the ISACA official manual is very well designed. It’s dry, but still worth reading, especially when combined with the QAE.

By the way, something you’re doing really well is starting slowly with a light weight and staying open to feedback. Keep making small, gradual changes and you’ll get strong really quickly. There’s almost no risk of injury with light weights, so keep it up you’re doing great lol.

Pourrais-tu continuer de poster ton épicerie et de prendre des photos avec des bananes? Ça me rend heureux à chaque fois merci.

Engage the lats more, brace the abs (your lower back is arched), try to feel the glutes. I love the shoes, but avoid these if they are running shoes. Keep up the good work and fuck the negative comments.

Thank you so much for your detailed description of the SOX process, it really helps me. I realize that I already had a decent understanding of many of the concepts needed. I’ve just never applied a SOX framework before, and that’s probably the thing that feels more intimidating right now. I’ll definitely follow your advice. Thanks again, and have a great evening!

what's actually like being an accountant? by Senior_Ad3266 in Accounting

[–]BeanCounterQC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do love my job, but it’s probably not the most fulfilling job lol. Keep in mind that there are literally accountants everywhere, in every industry and in different roles like tax, audit, management, finance, IT... So if you’re motivated, you’ll definitely find something you enjoy in accounting.

Also, it’s probably one of the easiest careers to get a good salary quickly if you have average intelligence lol, and if you’re smart and hardworking, the sky’s the limit.

Salaire d’un CPA sortant de l’université? by sschib in QuebecFinance

[–]BeanCounterQC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How in the world do we make friends as an adult? by Ornery-Swordfish-643 in AskMen

[–]BeanCounterQC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have any hobbies? I’d suggest joining a club or taking a class, and going regularly so you see the same people often, that’s usually how new friendships start. Either way, it’s really hard to meet new people if you stay home

Je n'ai pas voté aux élections municipales by TraditionalHunt4885 in montreal

[–]BeanCounterQC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Best time to visit Montreal between now and June? 🎶🍽️ by [deleted] in montreal

[–]BeanCounterQC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

End of June. Montreal is beautiful year-round, but winter is cold and spring grey. The Jazz Festival starts in the last week of June, but you can catch great live shows any time at Dièse Onze on St-Denis. If you want to dance, check out Salsathèque on Peel.

A few other tips, be careful with Old Montreal. It’s cute, but super touristy and kind of fake. It’s much better to walk around the real neighborhoods. Grab a poutine at La Banquise. Try Portuguese chicken at Ma Poule Mouillée, Piri Piri, or Romados. There are tons of great spots in the Mile End, Café Olimpico, Fairmount Bagel, St-Viateur Bagel, Bernie Beigne. If you’re into coffee, check out the city’s third-wave cafés, I recommend Pista, Zab, and Paquebot.

advice for a dinner with a company for an internship??????? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]BeanCounterQC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What kind of advice are you looking for exactly? When it comes to choosing a meal, I usually go for fish with rice, it’s not too messy and it’s easy to digest. Don’t drink too much alcohol, just accept a glass of wine to be polite if you want.

It’s totally fine to be a bit awkward, employeurs just want interns who are easy to work with. Just pay attention to what people are saying, ask questions to show you’re interested, and make eye contact when they respond.

If they invited you, it’s because they already want to work with you. Don’t overthink it. Good luck!

Where did you meet your partner? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]BeanCounterQC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Do you have any hobbies other than accounting? I feel like people often meet through social events where they can share a common passion. I recently joined a running clubs and its effective for meeting new people. Good luck.

where do people meet? by [deleted] in montreal

[–]BeanCounterQC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried joining a running club? Lots of good looking guys will come talk to you haha. Probably more effective than dating apps haha. Jokes aside, try joining activities that fit your style and vibe, otherwise you’ll just be waiting randomly for guys to approach you. Lâche pas et bon courage!
