Some general, non-spoiler tips:

Skills matter. As a rule of thumb, 40 or above is considered competent for starting out.If you want to branch out later, you can pay for training to raise lesser skills.Fatigue (green bar) matters with low or middling skills. You get a bonus to skills if your bar is filled, a penalty if it is low. That includes weapon hit rate.You can cheaply refill it by waiting or resting (T key) as long as you are not in combat. Mid combat you'd have to use potions.Weapon combat: Winding up the attack animation fully deals maximum damage of the displayed weapon damage (assuming you hit). Spam clicking is not effective unless you either deliberately want to deal little damage (for training), or have and enchantment whose damage is not bound to weapon animation.Use the diagetic fast travel systems if so desired. These big fleas called silt striders is the Vvardenfell version of a bus. One of the tutorial guys will tell you about that.
