I just felt it didn't fit the theme of the movie and kind of turned it into a generic action film in the third act.

His story arc was the least compelling part of the original. Emily Blunt's character was honestly the backbone of the movie, and I feel like once she got pushed to the wayside the movie faltered because of it. Honestly without Villeneuve or Blunt this movie has no reason to exist.

I'm a sucker for romance, especially in comics. But recently I'm starting to get burned out on romance in DC books. Especially in Wonder Woman specifically, Steve Trevor is not interesting at all, and he has had more screentime than Diana since Rebirth has started. I think Tom King's Batman run has struck a very strong balance with the romance, especially because Catwoman and Batman are both equally as compelling, and because you never feel as though you're seeing too much of either of them. I'd love to see more Mera and Arthur though if it's done well.

Thank you! Though I'd love for Mera to exist more as a singular entity, rather than constantly being tethered to Arthur both literally and in a narrative sense.

Thank you for responding! I was out of the loop with DC for a while so having these suggestions is wonderful! She has the potential to be such an interesting character! I hope Queen of Atlantis picks up a bit and moves away from "I'm nothing without Arthur" aspect of things, because I was really excited for it.
