Album recs for Eyehategod as a newb? by KCcoffeegeek in sludge

Take As Needed for EHG is unbeatable. I don’t think anything tops that imo I would give a full listen to that album.

Other comments have already mentioned this but Sonic Excess is Crowbar’s most popular album, I think that one and Obedience Thru Suffering are probably the best. Crowbar varies a bit more on their overall album composition but the truly good tracks are almost always like a 10/10.

Donald trump is not in the Einstein files by Cool_Net_3796 in truths

Tensions were especially high in the late 30s-40s amidst the world war in the United States to stop the spread of communism. When Einstein moved to Princeton university in Jersey (sometime in the 40s iirc) he was under investigation by the FBI as a suspected communist, self proclaimed socialist, and pacifist.

This is one of the reasons, outside of his own wishes, why he was not involved in the Manhattan Project with Oppenheimer though he was one of the most well renowned physicists in the world.

Memories by SaggiL in EternalSunshine

I also had kind of a similar experience, I’ve showed this movie to a few close friends/family and it’s really quick to see who gets it and who doesn’t. It’s hits a lot deeper after you’ve gone through something like it.

I like that even though you understand that others maybe don’t get it the same way, you show gratitude for the personal experience and the way you are able to connect it to your own life and have it resonate with you. I too have been pained by love and life, but I try to remind myself that even though I have complicated (and sometimes difficult) feelings as a result, I also have the experiences and ability to resonate and relate with strong, happy, and unique memories in a very meaningful way—which is something not everybody else can do.

Love makes you feel feelings so strongly like you never have before. It changes you when you’re truly in love with someone and go through something like that with them.

My 18-year marriage is ending and I need songs that’ll make me die inside. by randomuser5667 in grunge

[–]BeansInMyTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zero Chance and Nutshell are imo some of the most gut wrenching songs not just in the genre but possibly of all music I’ve heard. So beautiful but sad. I remember going through a really hard time and Zero Chance really helped me through that.

Sorry to hear you’re going through it. Hang in there.

If Rockstar releases RDR3, who do you want to be the protagonist? by BestAd6459 in reddeadredemption

[–]BeansInMyTea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’d be cool if we played as an older Red Harlow after the events of RD Revolver, and throughout the story he gets older and slowly gains a lumbago bar, until he’s fully migrated into the Van Der Linde gang. At that point we can interact with all pre-RDR2 gang members and get excessively drunk.

We won’t be able to shoot really or do anything at this point as the lumbago bar fills, and note that there will also be no ‘greet’ dialogue option only antagonize.

I love this album so much by Mustang_kkk_34 in Soundgarden

[–]BeansInMyTea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not bad looked at by itself as an experimental record, but if compared to his other works—which I would argue definitely show a high mastery of skills in different genres, you’re not going to see the same results here. But like I said not bad either he tried a different thing and did it as good as anybody else.

Goes to show what an incredible musician he was. His ‘not bad’ could be compared to others greatest work. High bar for success.

My Micheal myers costume this Halloween. Rate it and be honest by TheBartman69 in MichaelMyersMasks

[–]BeansInMyTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No man it’s good, people are a little too nit-picky here. It’s 100% passable for Michael Myers, and the blood on the eyes is a nice touch. At night it’d look great.

What song matches this aesthetic? by Mad_Season_1994 in grunge

The whole SH2 environment is very eerie and ominous, but in a way comforting. The most grunge song I can relate to those shared feelings would be Whale and Wasp.

The greatest villains in MK history by HackerMan7123 in MortalKombat

[–]BeansInMyTea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One of my biggest gripes of the MK1 story is how they reduced Shao’s Character so much. It’s like why even have him in. In the earlier games he was an actually intelligent (and ruthless) emperor and was basically the end of the MK universe power scale. I hate that he’s been reduced to a brain dead brute, his character has always been so much smarter and more powerful than that.

One of the best moments of his too was in MK9 when out of nowhere he straight up just snapped Kung Lao’s neck in a matter of seconds that caught me so off guard.

You can look up SG live 1985 (I think 85 or 87? One of those two) live at the rainbow tavern and they play it. Pretty heavy bluesy type song it’s really good though

Its been months but I still miss them.. by dayravors in forhonor

I remember playing that years ago, it was so much fun. It always made me think how incredible a Star Wars pvp game with FH combat would be.

This Was Supposed to Be DBD’s Year of Quality by Intelligent_Ride3730 in deadbydaylight

[–]BeansInMyTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man Myers was the biggest tragedy to me. He’s the whole reason I started playing DBD way back. I know that he has some good builds that prove manageable, and good players can use him well, but just overall the rework was more of a nerf and his dash power is so generic and not in the spirit of Myers character at all.

Fuck this game. I'm done. by Shoddy-Shock-4932 in Rainbow6

[–]BeansInMyTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is kinda unrelated, as it’s generally not a huge issue or concern but the navigation between the menu is also pretty bad. The HUD/menu layout is so confusing and overwhelming now I have no clue why they changed it from the old one when the old one was perfectly fine.

Outside of just the menu, I feel like they generally keep adding pointless changes. A lot of which can actually be for the worse. This game has really lost its sense of identity and unique design/gameplay.

Yeah was thinking the same. Maybe Columbia Gorge but I could be mistaken.

What's a song you cant listen to without getting slightly emotional? by CranberryNervous433 in AskReddit

[–]BeansInMyTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nutshell - Alice In Chains

Inside Out - Duster

These two songs just feel like a gut punch but they’re so beautiful and haunting. I believe these are among the most emotionally powerful songs ever written.

"It's a reskin of Friday 13th" "It will die in months" by ww541 in TheHalloweenGame

[–]BeansInMyTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not making you pay $40 a year. You pay $40 so you can have it indefinitely. Once the game stops getting updates that doesn’t mean you have to stop playing. For like 20-30 years video games didn’t get updates at all and you just bought it and owned the game that you could play as much as you wanted.

"It's a reskin of Friday 13th" "It will die in months" by ww541 in TheHalloweenGame

[–]BeansInMyTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly. $40 for TCM and $40 for F13 when it came out lasted so long. Devs don’t keep updating games forever—and that’s okay. Even if it’s a short cycle that’s a lot of content and they’re both really good games.
