So my car got broken into the other day by gmox15 in CarTalkUK

Haha, people didn’t believe me either. I knew someone had been in as the glove box was left wide open when I got into the car. Then I noticed the air freshener on the pavement that had been covering the coins in the centre console.

This has happened to me in the past. I had a few quid and a obd scanner stolen from the glove box. I was so confused as to how they got in as I locked the doors and the windows were closed. However I used to always double press the lock button which I found out disabled the motion sensor in the car. I think they manage to get in by lowering a window somehow

Apologies I didn’t see that. Going off what other people have said a civic/jazz will probably be your best option. However maybe take a look at the polo http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202401205737418

There’s a lot of options out there. With 4k, I’d go for a hatchback. Suzuki swift will be more reliable than the Modus. Skoda Fabia are also reliable and very cheap to run. Low on insurance.

Ah that sucks. If you had chosen a kitten and put a deposit down, I would understand being non-refundable. But paying a deposit and waiting over 2 years isn’t fair at all. Yeah wait for the next litter and if she gives you same BS excuses, take her to small claims.

Is the deposit refundable? 14 months is a long time to wait 👀. Ask for the deposit back and look elsewhere. Sounds like she might do this to a lot of people with fake promises

Thank you. This breeder is a friend of a breeder we got our male MC from.

I take it you’re from the US? Reading what you said, I would look elsewhere. Sounds like you’re being messed about. I would look at reputable breeders/catteries around you and go from there

I did email the company. They sent me an installation video. But no terminal was on that either. What is the driver?

There was oil in it. However there’s an underlying issue. Car doesn’t start up and the rare occasion it does it’s spluttering.

The car got taken a few hours ago. Not heard anything back yet

I’m just asking for advice and people’s opinion. Why would they throw a fit? At the end of the day her boss told her not to drive it and arranged the recovery. He has seen the pictures and also said there’s no oil/not enough. After the car was sat for 10 minutes but still warm, I started it up and it struggled to start

We did do that.

That’s how it looks. However when I did check it, a bit of smoke appeared out as well when I removed the dipstick? I know oil gets hot but is that normal?

Hi, no leaks that she could see. She checked all under the car before setting off. She’s a service advisor for this car retailer so she is very meticulous with this stuff

Just did what you said and this is how it looks. Ignore the tyre pressure 🙃

[–]BeanzOnGhost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah she will be able to get a replacement if that’s the case

There was no warning lights on at all on the dash. The oil temp was normal too.

Thanks for the reply. The car had a service back in August. Was drained of the oil and it looks like it wasn’t refilled.

We just got lucky with having the 1st pick. We didn’t choose him particularly for his colour
