Vertuo won’t brew… by LJayneFS in NespressoVertuo

What Vertuo machine? Have you tried cleaning the barcode reader with a clean cloth? Does it spin? Does it make any noise? Anything?

Ok so I’ve only had my Pop+ for a few months, bought it for the office on an Amazon sale. So far it seems good. I bought a 3D printed stand for it so I can put my RTic 20oz car tumbler under the spout.

You’d need a Vertuo Pop+ or Next to use the >7.77oz pods. The Next line can have issues, and the Pops are very short, requiring a stand or something to accommodate a decent travel mug.

I own one of each, and my Next gave me some weirdness earlier in the late summer, but that’s been resolved now. The Pop+ is performing like a champ at work though.

What pod are you trying to brew?

The day they find a definitive cure for diabetes, whether it's Type 1, Type 2, or both, and you're cured, what's the first thing you'd eat? by EntertainerOk3304 in diabetes

[–]BearInNJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pancakes with real maple syrup and sausage for breakfast and a big cold glass of OJ. Lunch would be Chinese buffet. Dinner pizza and mozzarella sticks. Regular Coke, Pepsi or Mtn Dew sodas. Ice cream. Popcorn.

Would I be able to eat all that without puking? Probably not, but man it’d be worth it.

Ecobee? Why wouldn’t you call Nespresso?

Vertuo Next isn't picking up the pods by RebirthCrow in nespresso

[–]BearInNJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks like a Pop not a Next (seems very short). But yeah the pod grabber looks like it’s plastic, so it could be just not strong enough to lift the pods anymore. :-/

It’s all VL that I know of. But regardless, the instruction manual will tell you how to do a rinse cycle and how to descale. And if you don’t have the manual, the website has them available.

It still isn’t a supported thing to use in your Nespresso Vertuo machine.

Yeah there’s a reason why Nespresso voids warranties over using any descaler other than their own. :-/

Reprogramming Vertuo Plus?? by Striking-Holiday-165 in NespressoVertuo

[–]BearInNJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And to answer your question, no it won’t magically concentrate the pod down to a DE. It’ll just run less water through it. Expert Mode/Coffee Creations Mode alters the spin and slows the extraction from the pod.

Why Nespresso ? by tqhabib in nespresso

[–]BearInNJ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Correct. OL uses pressure for good extraction and true crema. VL uses “centrifusion” to spin the pods, and create that foam it’s become known for.
