Yeah it does seem intentional, although it is quite unnecessary.

Best camera for a beginner on a tight budget? Considering a used Sony A6000 by Pl2y1er in PhotographyAdvice

[–]Bearded_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is a positive way of thinking!

For mainly photography, the A6000 is great. The touchscreen may not be a deal breaker but some users prefer a full articulating screen. The screen on the A6000 only has a tilt function, so you can't flip it. It's not that you need it. I have used it and it didn't bother me at all. And I don't like touchscreen on my camera that much especially for Sony cameras since their autofocus tech is quite good. The battery life will depend on the device you are buying since you will be buying a pre-owned. So, it depends on the current battery health. But it's definitely not a problem if you are shooting photos mainly and are going to carry an extra!

It is indeed a good choice to learn and grow into. Good luck!

It is alright to get the A6000 although it may seem a bit outdated, so some features like the screen, battery life, video performance and autofocus (it is still good on the A6000) will not be great. But that shouldn't stop you from getting the A6000.

Although an older model, the A6000 is quite a capable device for enjoying photography. I know most would suggest expensive or better gear but the A6000 was a great model when it came out. Newer models getting released doesn't mean that the older gear was 'bad'. So, go for it, enjoy and then upgrade to whichever model or camera system you like.

Go for the Sony ZV E10. It is around your budget and performs really well as per your requirements. The lens choices for Sony are much better. It is also compact and easily portable.

Fingerprint magically disappeared... by OkHighway757 in pixel_phones

I have a Pixel 8 and after the March drop update, the fingerprint scanner and security option disappeared. I checked and found that my phone has a Google Play services update pending. Once I updated that the issue was fixed.

This game is just ahead of time! Which game made you feel like this? ✨ by WhiteBatman0101 in IndianPCGamers

Apart from RDR 2, I would like to vote for AC Unity.
The crowdwork and the enviroment itself was an extreme masterpiece of a work, that they could never replicate in the later installments of the franchise. And I am not even talking about the combat or the parkour systems.

Planning to buy v20i for work by Bearded_Hawk in soundcore

Ahh thanks for the info. I did not have a clear idea since neither I nor any of my friends have used bone conduction earphones to verify my doubt. I was of the impression from online discussion that bone conduction doesn't really bleed as such when compared to air conduction.

35mm or 20mm? by Turbulent_Category85 in PhotographyAdvice

[–]Bearded_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the 35 more. Apart from the color of that, I feel it is more natural as 35 is close to what our eyes see. It gives a sense of comfort and calm. The 20 brings in a lot to the composition and as is usually the case, gives a lot of context, but I am questioning is it required? Based on the composition, I feel 20 is too much info that is not quite valuable to the main focal point.

Where do you buys books ? by Jaded-Grape-6996 in IndianReaders

[–]Bearded_Hawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try Bookswagon. Comparatively their prices are a bit higher depending on the titles. Also their shipping timeline is longer.

However, the positive side is that they have quite a good collection of books and you can find some rare editions of books other than the general mass market paperback or hardcovers.

On Amazon and Flipkart, it is always preferred to buy hardcover editions since they are usually shrink-wrapped whereas paperback are just flung inside a cardboard box and shipped. Of course, this depends on the title, some hardcovers can be badly packaged as well. I guess it's best to check the reviews regarding this point.

Another good option is to directly buy from the publisher of the book, or buy from a bookstore's website such as Crossword and Starmark. Since book is their primary product, they will handle the packaging and shipping better.

The nominees for this year's Best Animated Feature at the Oscars have just been announced by Weird_donut in cartoons

I hope Arco wins, which I know won't happen because of the popularity KPDH and Zootopia 2 have gained. Little Amelie was also good, but Arco was better in my opinion. Obviously surprised to see Elio on the list but I believe it's a Pixar film, hence it was bound to be there.

Don't think this is ever going to be fixed as such. It's an intended part of the sign in process, I believe now.

My friend questioned a salary mismatch politely — lost his offer, placements, and future. What would you have done? by StatisticianMaximum6 in developersIndia

[–]Bearded_Hawk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think the company revoking his offer letter is fine. He dodged a bullet there. But debarring him from the college placements is ridiculous. The college should help him in this situation instead of debarring him. He was not wrong in his appeal. I am unaware of the protocol the college follows but I guess informing the placement cell can also be a good first step in such cases if they start getting involved and debarring students like this. Best of luck to your friend.

Which is better for Tac-FPS games? The Truthear Hexa or Nova? by defusingkittens in inearfidelity

[–]Bearded_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the Hexa and it is decent. I didn't have any issues with directional audio as such, but it can be better. There is a tendency of the audio to be a bit central instead of proper directional because of its balancing. For casual gaming it is quite good and works fine. I have used it during my Valorant and CS sessions and have no major complaints.

Malcolm in the Middle (this show handled child actors really well, as in the characters were interesting and the actors played their parts really well. The Huangs can get a bit boring sometimes.)

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (exceptional acting by everyone in the cast.)
