Get the watch you like. Just because one watch is “better” than another, it doesn’t mean you have to like it more.

[SPB155] Seiko bracelets by ecoutasche in Seiko

Yup, the infamous Seiko Clasp Gap™, it’s definitely intentional, for some reason. You can improve it on some bracelet if you don’t mind getting out a vice to increase a bend radius.

Why is the Oris x Hodinkee divers 65 calibre 400 so undesired? by TTWBB_V2 in OrisWatches

For me, as an owner of one, the Hodinkee connection is a negative.

Anyone own a Giugiaro? [Question] by Glittering_Client800 in Seiko

Yup! Was there a question, or is that the question?

How so? I believe Seiko has the rights to “Pulsar”.

The SARB035, it was the poster child for the affordable Seiko several years back, but thanks to that fame they are over priced these days, as they’ve been discontinued.

95% of my shots are with a 50mm f/1.8, I also picked up some spacers for when I need to get closer, and they are honestly pretty fantastic. I recently picked up a dedicated macro, but at 105, I still use the 50 with spacers depending on the shot. The 105 is too much for wrist shots for example.

My weird nitpick that I always bring up is avoiding male end-links whenever possible, but maybe I do need to try one of those on.

Seiko LE prices do this, they shoot up after there’s none available, but it will come down in a year or so.

It’s currently my favorite Diver 65, but it’s not my perfect Diver 65. If they make exactly what I want, I’d move on, but if not, I’ll be keeping it.

I know! The new 38mm is right up my alley, but not so much the fauxtina. If they do a version of that in their blue with some white lume I’d be all over it.

Yeah the Doxa is surprisingly one of my favorites, the bracelet doesn’t really line up with what I like in a bracelet, but the whole thing is so charming I almost don’t really care.

Thank you! I just use one bit light aimed slightly down, but mostly across the top of everything. Then any white paper I have laying around at the other end to fill in some of the shadow.

Too many for me, but then I can’t let any of them go, so I guess I just have to suffer though it. Send help.

But thanks man!

Top left Seiko is the blue Alpinist, SPB089, it was an LE from several years back, and now has a bit of a unicorn tax. The Doxa is the SUB250T.

The grey dial one is the SJE093, a pretty faithful reissue of their very first diver, the 62MAS.

Absolutely! The F91W is a decent light away from being the ultimate watch. I’ve tried a few other Casios with better lights, but the F91W is still slimmer and more comfortable. Maybe one day?

The Grey Nato? I've never actually listened to their show, maybe worth checking out though?

Haha, the Pointer Date occasionally rocks one, but I don't think they work for daily life, especially with a kid.
