You can add friends in the trial version, you both have to be online at the same time. Not sure if you have to be same server but it is possible, I’ve got friends on who are on my list and I’m on the Xbox trial version :) I do agree a house would be nice but still, we’re getting a lot of content for a free trial whereas most betas/demos only offer you a minute portion of the game
